i know techie, i read your post and sorry if i modified your script without your permission.........

i have reduced if-then-else statements to minimum and tested.

All seems to work........

I changed temperature profile from "ideal" to "starving" (but you can use "lv","ulv" or "xlv" as well) simply beacause ideal profile have minimum clock set to 500.

On desktop you see 250Mhz-1000Mhz (according to overclock file) but if you use conky you see 500-1000.

No not at all, you all are welcome to modify and pass on some suggestions or ideas to me too along the way:)
Changing the profiles to your liking was actually a 'feature' that I mentioned in the original post as well.That's why the extra trouble to pass them as variables so to make user-friendly.

Also feel free to maintain the WIKI at your will. (and bear with me if, at times, you find some cosmetic changes to your amendments due to homogenization of contents format)

Further, is you believe that the OCP Beecon requires some more evolution I suggest it deserves its own thread and we'll keep this QBW thread for less specific general issues, requests for help, bug reports and so on.

Hi No!No!No!Yes!
I had another crash today with all my desktop widgets disappearing after locking device.
Coincidentally I had setup syslog just in the morning today:rolleyes:
Attached is the log with unnecessary parts (according to me) removed,except those between device lock and unlock.
I have highlighted the device lock events in bold.
What I think are the cause/result of crash are in red.
Glib also complained of some critical errors don't know if its related.
Unfortunately I do not know which process had pid 1335 so from now now on I am writing process list to file before/after device lock.
Now to wait for another crash:D

EDIT: 1335 was hildon-home as well

sorry No!No!No!Yes! i have a strange issue with my modified overclock control panel.

Example:

if i set any of the three modes (stock, ideal or temperature) the widget work well, but after a phone call the minimum frequency displayed is 125 but if i look at conky the minimum is 250 !

If i set "stock" per example, the frequency displayed on widget is 250MHz - 600MHz, ok? After a phone call is 125MHz - 600MHz but conky tell me that frequency is still 250MHz - 600MHz and i must tap on "stock" again to display the right frequencies beacause update on click, update on timer and lock-unlock phone don't change this thing...........boh ?

Any suggestion is appreciate, thank you!

That also happens with me. I remember reading somewhere that it is a issue that occurs with titan's kernel and the phone module that sets the minimum frequency to 125 during a call.
Anyway if the overclock widget is in temperature mode the displayed frequencies will be updated after the timer interval.

Could you make an easy way to install new beecons/scripts please? (perhaps define a standard folder structure inside a compressed file, perhaps some install directions file inside to guide instalation, and use a custom extension; kinda like how Firefox does with XPIs, and add some GUI to install/uninstall them)

i would need it in combination with hidden qb widgets
which are distributed all over a nice desktop without any
icons or widgets, at least you cant see them. the desktop
wallpaper tells a certain story or contains elements, example:

* think of a girl which hears music with her headset
--> double clicking on the headset activates a hidden qb widget
and this one turrns on/off musicplay over my bt headset

* double clicking on the rising sun which appears on my
wallpaper starts for instance om weather

etc etc etc

what do you think, am i crazy?

hmm... i know that its done that way and i realized it that way.
but with a double click feature the chances are much less
that one clicks on the hidden widget by mistake for instance
when sliding from one desktop to the other or when activating
the desktop menu. this applies to all hidden widgets...

what do you think?

thanks for checking this out... i think that the MyContacts widget
has such a feature. reason there: no one wants to call someone
by incident. the double click feature makes such things safe.
i wouldnt care about a widget which does monitoring or whatever..

i imagine there would be a way to make double click trigger work with current version with some scripting (somthing like write the last time the script was run, when the script start check if the time now is less than N ms from the last time and if it is, run some stuff, otherwise just update the last run time value)

i've found a nice way of using queen beecon in the internet, but i don't know how to use it in queen beecon.

Was also thinking of a new UI for MLBeecon which is able to give a tabbed interface with different tabs for News, Standings, Scoreboards ...
Current features in v1.0.0.1-extras already allow something like this with clickable 3x3 hotspots matrix ... just no time ... I can help however if you feel like trying.
