breath of fire only runs with wall clock timing on but no buttons work except the quit one. any ideas

it worked under the older gui version 0.3.1 or whatever. there was a glitch that stopped me going in further in the game.thought the new version might have fixed that, but now its this problem. also what about savestates. i was quite far in FF7 and cant load it now

I still can't install it since it was compiled with the PR1.2 SDK :(

Whoop Whoop. Finally found the download for v3.9 deb file on this website somwhere. Installed and FF7 working.... Thanks Smoku... love this app.

I downloaded the .deb file either,
(made a Tiny url of the repo)

saved the .deb on my N900... so what is the next step?

Hi HtheB

On page 44 is the 0.3.5 release. You need to download the deb and run from root. by entering: dpkg -i --force-depends psx4all_0.3.5_armel.deb

there are newer versions on this website somewhere but I had to google search to find it... and follow the above process.

hope this helps.

EDIT: run the above code in terminal with root access. the deb file needs to be in /home/user

I would have installed this earlier but i have been trying all sorts in getting uae4all to work (with no avail).:(

might be just me but i seem to getting better fps with this newer version, some parts of ff7 are running like 60fps.

also might of been noted already but dont remember seeing it in the last few pages, the sound toggle on the main menu seems to not be working still. if already mentioned then ignore me :D

but seriously dude this is really coming along nicely.

ps3 sixaxis working now perfectly.
running wipeout 3 very playable
around half the speed, but you won't notice that, because wipeout was VERY fast, so it's just easier now..

yeah just downloaded the new version and ff7 seems to run ok, bit slow but its getting better, keep it up, cant wait til the speed is up

Seems I'm getting 50FPS in Xenogears with the cycle mp set on 7 :D Sound is still janky obviously but wow this is quite an improvement!

Download deb file and place in /home/user

Go to xterm.

Go as root

type:

dpkg -i --force-depends type the file path here psx4all_0.3.9_armel.deb

I've tried to install psx but it said there are 2 packages missing:
libhildon1
libhildonmime.

How can i install those 2 file. please help me because im a n900 newbie :(

after upgrading from 0.38 to 0.39 ff7 rom doesnt work anymore, any ideas as to why?

Did you try installing with xterminal?

be carefull using xterminal as root it can mess up your phone read up on root access 1st.

is your bios loading? i had to move mine after installing before i could properly play anything its now MyDocs where you put the bios and laichettiep have you tried reading back in the thread? =\

I am having the same problem with the packages as well. It says:

psx4all depends on libhildon1 (>= 2.2.10); however:
Version of libhildon1 on system is 2.2.3-1+0m5.
psx4all depends on libhildonmime0 (>= 2.1.5); however:
Version of libhildonmime0 on system is 2.1.3-1+0m5.

If i try to download the package it says that i already have the most up to date version.

i just sat here for last hour reading through this thread. its mad how many times people ask the same questions!! just got back a couple of pages and the answer is there. im pretty sure its been written about 10 times...

root
dpkg -i --force-depends /home/user/MyDocs/psx4all_0.3.5_armel.deb

or replace psx4all with ur version. whatever one you have downloadedl

make sure its all the same. xterm is case sensitive

I got Gran Turismo to load up to the disclaimer then it froze, tried Need for speed it froze at the Ps sign, Wipeout plays slowly but quite playable. Six axis control works great, nice work smoku, donation coming your way, cant wait til this emu is running at full speed

Just tested 0.3.9.. FF7 works fine and the sound is now fixed (was garbled with 0.3.1). The only problem I'm having is when I press the Return to launcher key it crashes (when run from terminal it prints nothing).

Oh, one more small glitch.. while the fonts in the ingame dialogs look "beautiful", in the menu they are a bit distorted, it seems like a whole pixel column (across the whole screen) is missing here and there. Letters like "l" are sometimes completely invisible. I thought it has something to do with the scaling, but it only happens in the game menu so... I can live with that though.

smoku did you make any improvements on the emulation side? Cause 0.3.9 seems to run better than any previous version!

Also could someone explain to me what cycle multiplier actually is?

BTW, the 'return to launcher' button just exists psx4all entirely.

just had GT running at about half speed with the cycle multiplyer up to 5. Wipeout was pretty good also, dont know if this has been mentioned but on GT I selected auto transmission and when I accelerated it kept flicking between reverse and 1st gear, anybody else have this?

I have the same problem, menu works good, but i think the game itself is so slow it might be the problem :confused:
