I am planning to get the N9, but unfortunately not available here(I live in India).
I am traveling to shanghai soon, Is it available in china? and how much? I have browsed through nokia china site and see N9 listed but don't understand a thing.
Have few questions
- What is difference between "made in finland" and "made in china" models?
- Does it come with a international warranty?
- any idea when 64GB Cyan model comes out?

Dearly, DEARLY, want one of the 64 Black's but I feel these are to highly priced, especially with the holiday sales and the Galaxy Nexus rolling around the corner.

Anyone else in the US waiting? Anyone in the US with the update to the PR1.1 and feel it's worth more than you paid before?

Same boat as you. Well I sold my first one (cyan 16) mainly because I made quite a bit of profit and also had a couple of other devices loaned for testing, etc so I thought I'd buy a black 64 one later when prices went down a bit.

I'd suggest waiting, especially since the holidays are here and you're right with the release of other competitive devices the price should go down.

On related news, Chinese worker pay rates are increasing by 30% I believe, so if there are more N9s being made in China the price will probably reflect the increase. Of course this applies to every other electronic coming from China as well.

Luckily we can also choose Made in Finland, which is one of the reasons I want to wait. More quality control and oversight cause it's a home factory.

I bought it ! :) N9 black with 16GB + 2 years of extended warranty (Fnac). I am waiting delivering in some days.

Good news for the MeeGo Harmattan community : expect 3-6 math/scientific softwares in the following months.

Any specific retailers that carry only Finnish models?

So far it seems that sellers in Europe carry the Finnish models. For instance Amazon.de is definitely a good source and they even ship to US but the price is high right now. Similarly, there's Expansys stores (expansys-usa.com) also has them for a high price.

Here on Amazon.com has it for us through 3rd party sellers but I can't get in contact with them to ask for the make. Also notice how the price went down to $750 from ~$850 within a week! So give it some more time.

Also with the issues that people are having even with pr1.1, it might be better to wait for the next batch of production which will likely come with pr1.1 and hopefully 1.2 if they release it soon enough.

I'm sure they don't mind. As long as your device is covered, it's fine. For N9 it might generally be a problem since you couldn't just ring Nokia USA (or any other country where it isn't officially sold) and ask for support.
I would personally explore the device hardware well as soon as it arrives so if there's any fault you can avoid warranty altogether and ask for a new unit. As for software, we're all likely to run into something but at least it can be fixed.

Now here's a cool way to get discount in Amazon and fast shipping:
-open amazon account
-apply for Amazon Visa Rewards (earns you 3% cash back in form of points in your amazon account)
-as soon as you're approved (which is very fast) you get $30 gift card in your amazon account
-sign up for Amazon Prime 1 month free trial
-buy an N9 (let's say for $800) from any of the sellers with the Amazon Rewards Visa you were just approved
-choose 2 day shipping from your Prime free month trial
-by doing so you earn 3x$800=2400 points = $24 back in your account
-what you actually paid: 800-30-24=$746 and you get free fast shipping
-cancel your Prime trial before month is up (or keep it if you like the service)

Re: N9 16/64GB: worldwide availability & pricing

Got a 64Gb black in amazon.de, ordered on Monday, arrived on Friday. Made in Finland, maybe a Finnish device so went straight for the OTA update (it's important that the date and time is correct for this to work properly :-) ).
I paid: EUR 637,68 including delivery to the UK, but I understand that price fluctuates a lot. Maybe amazon.de is one of those sites to keep refreshing if, like me, you really really want one.

For those interested, so far the device has been fantastic, haven't had time to play properly with it though. One thing I discovered is that if you use the silicone case the camera flash doesn't work as it's meant to do (read: it's less bright as the silicon case's hole blocks the flash slightly), maybe that hole needs to be manually enlarged. Not a massive issue, but I'd like to use it as a portable camera [and get rid of mine], you know, less things to carry around.

So did you send your order through before price went up? And yes please let us know what country variant, made in __, etc.

I've received my black 64GB from amazon.de today - only 4 days from order to delivery, quite happy with that.

It's made in Finland. Version 10.2011.34-1_PR_001. Manuals in English and German, and AC plug is a Europlug. I've literally just received it, so I'll report back once I've tested it with SIM and data connection.

Still about Amazon - turns out they don't always show the best price on the main product page. Make sure you check the "new from ***€" link, as that's where you'll find the Amazon version at 604€.

Total cost with deliver to Ireland was 622.66€, which is quite reasonable, considering the prices of other vendors.

I haven't seen any cheaper yet, but looks like Expansys and Mobile Fun are now selling the 16Gb version so I'm going to hold fire until the end of the month when they might have got some 64Gb in too. Seems like a good price though - only 40quid more for the extra 48Gb.

Hi I just checked the price of N9 64GB model at http://www.expansys.com/ and it's £554.99.
When I did a checkout it was showing me £484.44 including shipping(?????). Is this the final price? Will there be any taxes added?
I live in India and has anyone imported the device?

I hope its a "made in Finland" version.

And yes I am pretty sure it's Made in Finland.

If it's £484.44 I am definitely getting it. :D.
I saw a link to http://www.superbuy.my in this post who are selling it for (2,128 MYR to £427). This is the cheapest I could find, but probably "Made in china" model.

Re: N9 16/64GB: worldwide availability & pricing

The 64GB is $794.99 on expansys US now and you can get an additional $20 off with the coupon code 20OFFLS.

Also, if you use Fatwallet to make the purchase, you can get 2% back. So, the total comes to ~760 shipped (unless you live in IL) after the Fatwallet rebate.

I'm planning on returning an SGS2 I recently bought and picking up the N9. Hope I don't regret it...

Ok i am sick and f****** tired of this bulls***... I REALLY do not care about the price at ALL! I just want to order a black 64gb Nokia N9 shipped to Quebec, Canada! I have tried severals times, some put me on backorders, some wanted me to pay with Google Checkout, with put my orders in Pending for TWO WEEKS to verify gouvernment-issued documents that I willingly sent... Can anybody PLEASE direct me to somebody trust-worthy that has the N9 64 IN STOCK, shipping to Canada, and NOT going with Paypal nor Google Checkout? Preferably somebody that can just take my credit card number and not ask questions...

Actually, for any other fellow canadian in my situation, I have been in touch with the webmaster of www.SNTradersOnline.com and they are actually selling the Nokia N9 16 and 64GB from Toronto! Their site was showing Coming Soon! but it was just never updated (They run a store in a mall). Although that Malaysian site is very decently-priced, Im gonna wait for SN Traders to put their site up-to-date, cuz shipping from Toronto--> Montreal = 1 day! :D And I already bought from them in the past, so I can trust them.

Yes... although wonderful Customer Service and fast support... They also accept Google Checkout or Amazon Payments... I registered with Google Checkout and place an order... Google cancelled it 2 days later and asked for 1) gouvernment-issued ID and 2) proof of address from bank. I said fine, i sent the information, 4 days later they accepted and confirmed me (meanwhile they STILL froze the payment on your credit card for "authorization" and it takes from 7-14days to get the money back). I placed ANOTHER order with Negri... 2 days later (today): Google again cancelled my order cuz instead of typing Apartment, I typed Apt... So again, funds re-frozen for 7-14days, and I am not waiting again...

I have Amazon Payment registered to another address, so im guessing same procedure will apply...

No, i really mean NINE50. Go thru the checkout process, and at the end, surprise surprise: Sales tax is charged on orders delivered to Canada @ 12.9%

I went with worldwidevoltage.com placed my order today on the phone after being told they had 8 64gb in stock, was told tracking info in the morning but it shipped (a lil worried about that) price was 699 usd, I believe they ship to canada. Will update, its supposed to be in my hands on friday. If they f up or play games, lord knows I'll file BBB complaint, and make it known in this forum they're shady, however so far so good. Like I said will update through out the order process.

I decided to skip paying for NOKIA N9. Will buy iPhone 4S. I am getting n9 as a present from Amman, hence free for me. That is the only way I would get N9. Free. Not worth the money. From all the reviews here, there appear to be many issues regarding hardware and software. I hope the experience with my freeby N9 will be a good one. If not, I will pass it on to my son.

Could anybody please confirm if using a so-called Paypal "Guest Account" verifies your registered address or whatnot? SN Traders finally has it in stock for 800$ with free same-day shipping (yes, free same-day shipping :) ) but they only take payments thru Paypal... i'm not registering with them cuz I know they check you out like Google but what about that Guest accout option?
