does any1 has any info on when ~ to expect 1.2 on product code 059L5H1

if it a month or too I can wait, but if it is not expected before July-August, then I will probably go for the manual flash with a diff country code

That is my product code as well. I can be patient, I just want to make sure it is indeed coming.

I Decided not to wait any longer and i changed my product code from the cursed Swiss one to the one present on navifirm. No update ota but it was there on nsu. Changing the product code with nss was quite the nerve racking experience, so do it only if you're ready to get some cold sweats!

really? It was easy. Just hook up,read the current code,change to local power,write new code,change to normal power. What was so scary?

The fact that when I applied the new code it said "Error", when I changed the power it said "Error" and that it took 2 seconds too long to come back after a reboot.

really people, I do not insist on Nokia giving us the 1.2 update - it is up to them, but at least they could tell us when it is coming :mad:

keeping the customer in the unknown is not the best treatment :mad::mad::mad:

Grrrr ... still waiting here in the US. I'm too much of a non-techie to fool around with flashing the phone. Have to wait patiently I suppose ....

wish there was a dummies guide on flashing the N9 on a mac.

Unfortunately, there is still no news for the swiss country variants.

If you consider that the Nokia 808 Pure View is not yet on the market, but has already received a firmware update on RDA and the Nokia 800, which came out after our N9, has also just received an update and this within 4 weeks will be available also for the country variants.....:(

I made it this way... Flashed it with Switzerland firmware to get rid of the slow variant one. Already took way to long for PR 1.1, I don't know what they're thinking. I wonder if it's a problem of Nokia or f.e Swisscom (which are anyways slow in everything). Especially since our variant versions aren't really different to the original one (no provider addons and such stuff, just 1 wallpaper)

I'm also in switzerland and tired to wait! i tried to update with nokia software updater but still no 1.2 .... how many years do we have to wait....

And with my 1.1 a lot of problems appeared (email dont work anymore, the accounts dont work, still asking me password of facebook,twitter,nokia....)

I love this mobile but its becoming really annoying...

I put a step-by-step manual on our website a while ago since I couldn't find any instruction for Mac users:

With this method you shouldn't loose any privat data. But backup of all files, contacts etc is still very recommended. If you have any questions, just ask.

Probably a good idea. I simply updated and now my N9 runs worse than ever. Very poor performance overall, especially email and twitter. Guess I'll need to wipe and start fresh..

Sad thing is Portugal does not even have a NDT version, so everybody here is stuck on PR1.1 until Nokia decides Portuguese customers deserve some attention.

So frustrated... Still nothing on my Australian Black 64GB 059L7G7.

Going to just flash it this weekend.... cant wait for nokia anymore.

On Navifirm there is a black Australian 64GB N9 with RP1.2.... should i just flash it with this one?

I don't think so, they are just not giving the same resources to it as WP for example, which is understandable seen the road taken by the company. Country Variants take time to come out and I read somewhere that they prioritize the countries with the most active devices.

I would really like to know why, for instance, Portugal don't have one single NDT firmware version and all unlocked phones sold here are Country Variants that receive the updates after everybody else including carrier-locked phones. It doesn't make any sense to pay full price for an unlocked phone and get those forgotten country variants... :(

Hello all, complete noob here. I'm getting a new-in-box N9 tomorrow. :D Very excited. I def want to update the phone. If I do it first thing after unboxing I shouldn't have any problems correct? Is there any upside to downloading via OTA vs. USB with the NSU? Should I do a hard reset after the update? Thanks in advance, I'm already learning so much here and I don't even have the handset yet!

I got the OTA update yesterday too. Can't believe it took so long--but after owning an N800 and N900, I guess I am just dumb. [In U.S. but with Australian variant.] Updated all the programs after too--except Firefox which gave an error when I tried....?

16th of April Polish, Singapore and T-Mobile FW have been released.

19th of April the Argentinians are dancing

20th of April, it seems the Swiss variants are coming out

24th of April, a new Swiss variant is out

25th of April, the Portuguese CV are out and the Argentinian provider "Telecom Personal" also

4th of May or earlier, one Movistar Argentina FW

7th of May, the white UAE has got the FW

8th of May, the last Argentinian FW is out

11th of May, two Hungarian FW are out

14th of May, a third Hungarian FW released

8th of June, a ZA Vodacom FW is out

11th of June, FW for Antel Uruguay released

4th of June, a Peruvian FW update for the Movistar network

my black N9 is on that list too (some Orange distribution in Poland, apparently restricted for updates) and the first thing I did when I got it was that I updated it with the PR1.2 linked with my cyan N9's central EU country code...works like a charm...
use NaviFirm, guys, don't wait for your damn providers till they release the updates...it doesn't matter what country code or color you choose when upgrading, just stick with the right memory (i.e. 16 OR 64gb)
