It'd be cool if somebody would port Gritz (https://github.com/xypiie/gritz) to Sailfish.
Gritz is an open source implementation of Spritz, a fast text reader.

From my experience so far it works very well and also in comparison to the Android FBReader I've been using before starts almost instantaneously! :)

BTW, any plans about active cover support ? I guess having (a part of) the book name and say page number/pages total on it would be a nice addition. :)

Caldav - Next update
Offline maps - Lots of applications for that, check out Openrepos

Functionality:
I want to be able to use USB tethering to share my internet.
I want the time and other notifications on the screen saver like N9.

I want a good call log manager app, a decent document viewer that can be used to view all documents including pdfs.

Activate developer mode. Run the following command in the terminal

pkcon install usb-moded-connection-sharing-android-config

Reboot. You can turn off developer mode again if you want. On inserting USB there will be an internet sharing option.

(uses rndis and nat, should work out of the box on Linux/Windows/*BSD/.....AnyOS except OS X, where you need to install horndis first.

Note this does not take into account roaming, so be careful if you use this when roaming.

There is Documents in the store that should do at least a few of those.

Yep, 'could install automatically with a selfie-toh with built-in mirror.

(And apart from that, Orrery's still on top of my list. And some application to send/receive SMS in an efficient way using SSH (possibly with terminal, and scripts exist already, but are not finished). And SMSCon from the N900. And a FTP application. And Call Recorder. And EasyDebian. And Wizzard Mounter, I don't think I've read this one being mentionned here, but I would really really enjoy this one, or any similar application allowing to mount network drives with Samba or whatnot.)

A fully functional GoPro remote. Well, a preview is not so necessary, but an ability to download media files from the camera is a must.

There's an app calle FishNetMount on warehouse that works like Wizzard Mounter to mount SMb or NFS shares.

I have trouble configuring it for a Windows shared drive though. Is it compatible with Linux only?

The IP of the server is right. I have created mount points in /media on the Jolla, using mkdir as root. Should I add the "/" or "\" to the Remote directory in FishNetMount GUI?

The remote directory name you enter in Fishnetmount is only the share name, NOT the whole path on the remote machine:

E.g. if you set up a share in Windows for a folder in C:\data\somefolder\sharedfolder, the share name is "sharedfolder" and not the whole path.

It looks the same if you try to access the share from another windows machine - the shared folder will be found under
"\\servername\sharedfolder".

Thanks a lot, I got it working!

It seems that folders containing accents are not properly encoded (strange chars), making impossible to access their content. Is the issue with Fishnetmount, or with Samba, or with my desktop PC, or anything? I can't rename all folders, changing the paths would break many things on the main computer.

Vesa Halttunen, I saw you were involved with Jolla UI too, so if you are reading this, is there a slightest possibility to get this ported to Sailfish? Maybe the day Jolla gets its store payment system working, if not earlier?
