you can remove it by following the guide, if something is asking you for a password we need to find out what it is, as my phone has never asked me for a password at anypoint since i bought it, so i dont really know what part your having the problem with, post a screenshot of what is asking for a password

are you root?
did you type sudo gainroot before typing the unlock part?

Andy are you typing bookmarks within this thread, or in the top right corner? Take a look at the area where the number of pages are listed for this thread and below you will see the option, "search this thread". When you click on that it will give you a search bar and there type "bookmarks". This will give you all the relevant posting only within this thread and not the entire talk site. The topic you are looking for has been discused in this thread (sorry, not sure which page) for sure so you will find what you're looking for.

Custom transition.ini, sort of a cross between MohammadAG's and D-livils one with no blur (keeping the main menu scrolling smoothly) and the shortest transition times from each to keep everything snappy.

Background is set to zoom out for a nice effect going into the main menu.

EDIT: Forgot to mention no snap to grid so all your meticulous widget positions will remain untouched ;)

@D4rKlar the path in the instructions is incorrect - should be /usr/share/hildon-desktop/

I think it must work both ways, mine's in the theme file
