Someone important said on irc that diablo has a newer version of bluez (bluetooth stack) so who knows? :p...

I'd like to add to the slating that Modest seems to get, imho I'd agree with theflew, I've been using modest since it was released. The problems I have are that I don't know whether i'm using modest or the internal client, and sometimes it conflicts. (although recently that doesn't seem to be the case)
Also given the difference between modest and the current email client, I can't see why it gets such bad press.
