I'm interested in seeing how close preferred sizes are to my estimates :)

Do you think some people might leave that field empty? Are we expecting a lot of people who haven't registered? How about people registering & not turning up? There are lots of reasons why both figures (a pure estimate & something based on registration data) might be inaccurate.

Sorry, I'm not going to work out the percentages. :p

This makes me more inclined to think that we should just get unisex t-shirts. What do you think?

I think you should get mostly male shirts and a couple dozen female shirts. As much as I would like lots of women to attend the Summits, it is clear that they don't.

Unless, by "unisex" you mean male shirts that aren't too "male" (and can be worn by females -- as nightshirts probably)? Not sure what unisex means in this context...

Unisex shirts are regular t-shirts that have no "form" that would specify gender-specificity. Like what you'd get at a rock concert:

Basically, you shift the sizes down by 1 increment (Medium for a man would be Large for a woman, etc.). This is pretty common and girls looks just fine in unisex shirts.

The only things I would do different:

-increase the size of the letters in "AMSTERDAM", probably 1.5 times current size (or so)

-keep the maemo logo in original colors but go ahead and have Amsterdam in red

I don't know what you mean by, "keep the maemo logo in original colors," unless you mean orange. Well, that's a fine thought (aside from the clashing color scheme), but it has got to be white and red (I'm being a dictator here). The main reason is so that it matches. The more main (ahem) reason is because I'm keeping at two two-colors for budget reasons.

I'll post the final "look" today or tomorrow.

Dave, what's too big? The text or image? It's the standard size of a Euro bumper sticker (although it may not have been translated to this forum that way).

Anyway, I'm going to change it up a bit. I will post it today or tomorrow.

By the way, I still haven't gotten a response from the Dutch sticker printing company I was attempting to contact. Anyone have a suggestion?

Same here.

At this point, I'm sticking with black. Most people wanted it (over orange or white), and I don't really have the time to keep investigating. Sorry.

Some shirt printers are actually directly embedding ink into the fabric (Cafepress now does this, for example) and the result is MUCH better than decals-- almost as good as traditional screen printing.

Just remember to always turn your tee shirts inside-out before washing and they'll last longer.

You haven't seen the happiness of women attending tech conferences when they find out someone had thought specifically about them.

Would you approve an option making men look 'just fine' if you had an easy alternative for making men 'look good'?
