Does anybody know how can we arrange the dictionaries in a specified order,so that desired dictionary comes up in the first place in the result?

I don't think you can with mstardict. qstardict allows ordering of dictionaries though.

i am late to this great thread, why mstardict does not support index browsing just like we browse the dictiomary book to learn new words

I did some update to mstardict:

* Added ability to reorder dictionaries.
* Fixed Russian translation.
* Changed "blue" color to "lightblue" in rendering word articles.

I tried to upload it to extras devel, but something's gone wrong.
So I just uploaded it here.

That (copying) is in my TODO list.
That is it:
* DONE sort dicts
* DONE links more bright
* TODO select text and do smth
* TODO search in entry
* TODO working links
* TODO menu - jump to dict
* TODO forvo
* TODO keyboard friendly
* TODO horizontal scrolling (long titles)
* TODO history of words
* TODO portrait mode
