ORLY? :D

That sounds like a porn movie staff response and he is a first time porn actor :p

There is my name, removed again. :(

Going to go cry myself to sleep with just my N900 to console me.

Looking through the history of the conversation that happened on twitter.

There is was no mention of maemo?

And I dont just mean his responses, it seems as if no one asked any questions regarding maemo. Or do my eyes deceive me? @_@

Well, you have: Symbian, Maemo, Meego, Android, iPhoneOS, Windows Mobile, PalmOS, Bada. Do the math.

Ah so, his 41% figure is saying that 41% of all cellphones are smartphones, not necessarily the S60. His verbiage was very ambiguous.

Nope, that's not it:

Gotcha... it's closer to 40% than 41%, but it's the NOKIA phone marketshare versus other manufacturer brands globally. The S60 part threw me off and the context didn't help clear it up.

Thanks!

No. He says 41% of all smartphones, and he is about right - currently the US is not representative of the global market, where Symbian is (still) doing a lot better (esp in asia, Samsung and SonyEriccson does Symbian too, and Japan also has a fair share of Symbian - so much in fact they even went with Symbian^2).

Wow, today's Q&A on twitter really sounded like an epic fail as it pertains to N900. I feel really stupid giving him the benefit of the doubt yesterday but to not even address Maemo was a deliberate slap in the face. I really gave him too much credit. In hindsight however, he IS trying to sell phones, not support existing ones.... Take that FWIW
