Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v50 in Extras-Devel
Tested SR @1150, pretty stable, until I played a video and BOOM! rebooted...however, if I only turn on VDD2 alone, everything works fine.
I guess 1000MHz is my VDD1 + VDD2 limit. |
Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v50 in Extras-Devel
meeeh, my n900 just reach 900mhz, over than that will be rebooted, sigh
|
Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v50 in Extras-Devel
Really overclocking more than 900 MHz is just not needed! You won't gain much more speed above that...

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v50 in Extras-Devel
but it will be usefull when using mypaint, cmiiw

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v50 in Extras-Devel
Well did you have still SR enabled profile? Maybe you should disable SR and then go further than 900 MHz ;)
sudo gainroot kernel-config load dsp kernel-config save mycfg cd /home/user/.kernel run-standalone.sh leafpad mycfg Then change max frequency as you wish and change VDD1=1 and VDD2=1 to VDD1=0 and VDD2=0 You are right, only MyPaint and some emulators demand more than 900MHz for fluency... |
Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v50 in Extras-Devel
i did, but with ideal profile, thx btw, and its seem stable
|
Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v50 in Extras-Devel
Profile doesn't really matter, only dsp profile has higher voltages so is less likely to reboot the phone. My phone can't handle ideal and/or 1150 at all.

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v50 in Extras-Devel
I just upgraded to kp 50 with a little hiccup when after reboot i got this guru meditation plus press any key to panic with my slider closed. Then i opened the slider and i got this 4 option to boot with..
Nokia's preloaded kernel nitdroid kp 49 kp 50 frequencies showing in conky as 250 to 950 is there anything i still got to do,i am about an average user to the standards of N900. Thanks if any one wanna give any sincere suggestion. |
