If you're using the GUI turn on PS Jailbreak mode then select BD emulation from the box that shows.

sorry my friend but i dont think that there will be a hack for 3.42 as 3.50 will be released tomorrow. it kinda took 3 years to find access into the ps3. and sony plugged the hole with 3.42.

so i really dont like your chances. as also no body is even working on it!

as there too busy creating PONG for the ps3.

Flash has limited WRITE cycles, not READ. There is no reason at all not to use the N900 for storing PS3 games if you want, as long as you don't plan to change them often. Its certainly safe for testing.

The biggest problem is it might not be fast enough and you won't fit many PS3 games on 27GB, a few PS3 games are so big they would fill it just for that one game. Also a few games will ONLY work on the PS3 HDD due to their file sizes, so its best if you are going to use this long-term to just stick a large HDD in your PS3.

For the record, I use my N900 all the time to store MKV HD files to play on my Blu-ray player. It works perfectly.

Me too. The only thing i've done though is let the psfreedom gui program do the update. maybe this is the problem? help. had it working. Not now.

Same here using the gui version which updated itself the other day to add new buttons ..tried tonight to use ..Backupmanager loads up and i can see the games on my External HDD but when i try to load one it just goes black screen and locks up..any ideas?

use the manual method to start and stop. thn the backup manager works properly.

hi guys i'm new in the forum and i thank you to listen me....i've red many posts but i havn't understood some things:

1-i downloaded PSfreedom from the application manager about 2 weeks ago...and all the guide that i red says to use xterminal to jailbreak the ps3 when if i tap on psfreedom icon the help guide says that you jast have to tap on jailbrake mode on and to make the procedure...so i need to go in x terminal or i can make it simply from psfreedom app??

2-i have never used my ps3 on internet so i have the 2.45 firmware...i have to update it??

3- i have overclocked my n900 to 805mhz...is it the same??i?

You can't jailbreak a PS anymore with 3.50 firmware

but isn't possible to choose the number of firmaware that i want to update??? and if isn't possible i cant find the 3.41 (that is the right firm to jailbreak) on internet?? and ps jailbreak doesn't work on my firmware the 2.45?? thank you for reply

you gotta update your firmware manually to 3.41
it's the only working firm known
you can find it easilly using google

ah ok...i've downloaded the 3.41 in .zip file...now i unpack it and i simply put it on a usb pen or EXTERNAL HD...and??? i launch it from ps3 like a game or i have to do other steps??? i really thank you

my ps3 is broken since last update. :/
the bd game is only shown in xmb after starting a psn game before. (though the backupmanager sees it already)
but if you start a psn game to see the bd game when you have a jailkbroke device to use the backup function, then the screen goes black and the ps3 hangs

tried even a manual activation via ./psfreedom-enable.sh

I'm sorry if this has been asked already, but 59 pages is jsut too much for me to read through.

I've been using PSFreedom on my N900 since an hour or so after it was released and I had to revert to the stock Nokia kernel to get it to run. Does it support the power kernel? I miss my undervolting/overclocking.

ok you're right...but i've written TRY GAMES...so i download games to try them after if they like me i'll buy them..here games for ps3 cost abot 60-70 euros....so i dont want to spend this for a game that doesn't like me....i thank you for the advise

regardless of the reason, it is still illegal to obtain games which you do not own. so the admin is not likely to care about your reason, keep talks of piracy off this forum.

The only bad thing about psfreedom(at least for now),that You are unable to play multiplayer...like I just got code for beta version of Assassins Creed Brotherhood(pre-ordered it @ Gamestop) and I'm able to download it on OCt 4th,but since I cant upgrade my PS3 pass 3.41,then obviously cant get online and get it from PS store..IT sucks ,but oh well...still greatful for PSFreedom...;)

i tried it, and i was able to jailbreak my ps3, also i installed the backup manager. i copied mafia 2 in my external hdd in gamez folder. the game does show up in the backup manager, but when i try to run it. It comes to the main menu and i cant access the game from anywhere. Is there anyway i can run the game? please advice what to do?

I did but nothing available for download.. I'm looking into it, trying to compile it but there's no easy steps guide, I think I need to install ps3toolchain I'm installing it rigth now and I'll try to compile it with that.. I know that the config file needs to be changed to FIRMWARE3.15 I've already done that..

EDIT: No succes I installed ps3toolchain on debian, but I don't know how to compile it and how to get a module .ko also I don't know how to add another payload.. waiting for someone else to help us..

to compile ps3toolchain just read the readme.txt file, it's kinda easy, once you are logged into your scratchbox setup (http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/..._GUI_Installer) cd into the ps3toolchain dir and type ./toolchain.sh it should work out of the box, remember to export the evironment variables as told in the readme.txt file.

any chance of getting the controller fix with the psfreedom or atleast anyone has a guide of getting psfreedom and hermes v2 to work for the controller fix ive watched this thread for sometime now and even other forums, ive seen the htc's and androids been ahead of us n900 psfreedom users... anybody .. please... sorry ...

Just compiled the latest pull from psfreedom git repository, no controller sync issues running stuff with Open Manager 1.4.2 in patched mode.

3.41 ONLY
