NOKIA sold more units but did they sell more in money? I can't find BlackBerry's results but my guess is their ASP will be quite a bit higher than NOKIA's.

BlackBerry also own their own ecosystem so they have opportunities to earn more money from their customers after the device is sold.

NOKIA sold over 28m smart devices in the last quarter before Elop killed MeeGo and Symbian and the market has doubled in size since so I think he needs to at least get beyond 56m Lumias per quarter before he can talk of success.

You are moving absolutely nowhere. You are like rocks fighting out a battle and are unable to move in any direction what so ever.

So they did more work for less money.

Increased volume is better for Microsoft because they have more punters for the apps etc... but greater volume for less revenue just makes NOKIA busy fools.

It seems Elop's magic touch is starting to work for the mobile phone division too.

+ Microsoft still gets license fee per phone. Their WP license income was up 200 million last quarter. Nokia sells more units, pays MS more but had smart devices income growth at 0%, due to lower ASP.

Ellop's plan keeps being good for MS.
