HD2 rubbish. (Great h/w, but WM6.5 sucks.)
Pre battery life insufficient to last me from leaving work in the morning to getting back in the evening.
Moto Milestone best alternative. May even be a better phone. Unfortunately that's not out for another few weeks,

This is a good roundup of the situation. If not an N900 than a milestone/driod... and if you can wait for the sony x10 then do that.

iphone = iphone
pre = piece of ... (never got why anyone was remotely interested in this - think it's an american thing with their cdma business)

Well 2 days ago I phoned them, they said they were getting it on the 3rd or 4th of Dec which is next week. 0800 0725855. They said to call them on the 1st to get more info. Unless they are being misinformed by nokia too. Im gonna ring them again in a minute.

Anybody going for holidays to Dubai, yesterday there was stock in Dubai Mall Nokia shop and other shops selling n900 as well.
City is bankrupt but phones are for sale :)

So, I just rang shop.nokia.co.uk.

They have no idea when new stock is arriving (i.e. to fill my preorder they ****ed up), and they have no idea why I still have a £1k hold on my account.

I'm never dealing with these idiots again.
