That may be your answer to the problem. I applaud you helping where you can. I have decided to use my time gathering support for changes I and many others want to see. I am also working on fixing some of the communication problems around here which lead to bigger problems.

Luckily, Maemo/Nokia appears to have seen this as an issue and appear to be addressing this from my understanding. Again I could be wrong, but thats my understanding.

I understand you think I am just causing trouble by organizing the community support for things I want to get fixed.

I see this as validating my opinions. If all the polls would have gone the other way, and it was not goin to get fixed, I would chalk it up and I am confused and out of the loop. However thats just not what happened...

I suggest you start helping now and start listing the changes you want to see.

From what I have been reading, it sounds like those who don't want the new theme have their own set of preference, with only a handful agreeing about something common, and some don't really know what they want.

If you can lead this initiative, that would be great. It would surely hasten things up.

If you are fired up, do something about it. Change what you can and ignore what you can't.

Judging by how fast this thread is moving, some folks may now be viewing the forums more than they did before. :D

I think penguinbait has made it very clear what he wants. Painfully clear.

He would like a dark theme for talk.maemo.org, similar to the "N810 v2" theme that internettablettalk.com had.

I don't want a dark theme myself, and I never used it on ITT (I always used the "classic" theme), but I think it couldn't hurt to make an alternate "black" theme.

penguinbait: Now, to clarify what Reggie was asking: would a change in colour scheme be enough for you, keeping the other elements of the theme the same? If not, could you list the other things that you want from a new "black" theme?

I already voted for bug 4467 which is to offer multiple colors. I also indicate in that bug response that my bug could be closed if these colors were implemented similar to the original theme of ITT.

I am not set on 810 them, I like the them before that also. For me personally its more about the colors than the layout.

Initially, it seemed like those who didn't like the new theme wanted the black theme back. And then later on, just like you, a lot have been asking about the classic blue theme.

If only a single member now wants the dark theme back, I don't see the reason why we need to bring it back. The more the themes, the harder it is to upgrade the forum since each theme needs to be validated, add-ons tested, and forum integration with other systems checked.

Well, I suggest you start by checking how many wants the dark theme back vs the classic theme.

Some other things to get info about:

- is it ok to have the standard maemo menus at the top?
- for those who want the classic theme, will they agree on a classic black theme?
- etc, etc. -- your call.
