ok, so i can change the browser name so it gives me the full site, but the in window chat dont work ??

on the left it usually shows whos online, now it just says 'go online' and when i click this it openes a new window and says cant connect.

any thoughts as to what to set for my browser id??

using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US) at the mo.

I actually get this problem with all my google pages now too, so calendar, contacts, gmail, etc.
It's fre_king annoying

could someone who is a good working knowledge of creating web pages that do browser detection, give us a description or a pointer in the right direction of why changing the browser agent works and , how and why websites do this?
Thanks it's more just for me to learn and explain to others ;-) don't worry I have googled it and am ready up, but wanted to get a first hand account of all of this :-)

Santiago at #55 (http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...1&postcount=55) has posted a user agent that makes chat work again:

even without the hide user agent app i am not being rerouted anymore ... anybody else?

is this caused by the new firmware PR1.2? (i noticed after flashing, when my hide user agent was set back to default ... so i can't say for sure if facebook changed things before)
Or did Facebook change something?
Maybe somebody who has not flashed with the new firmware will try this?

No, Facebook fixed it on their end. I've not upgraded to PR1.2, and I'm no longer redirected either.
