installed it with debinstall>mark trust>dpkg. Before this i created manually .status dir (yes as user) but gives this

Should the Netspeed indicator automatically change from wlan to gprs? Because mine doesn't even after reinstall

automatically, i think no. But you can check "displey when online", then it shows netspeed indicator with traffic monitor, whether you connected wifi or with gprs.

Edit: i said "i think no"? :D checked it and now strongly no :D you must always check interfaces - only wlan or only gprs. No automatical.

Disabling widgets from modern menu extensions saves power dramatically. With widgets on and no activity (airplane mode) drains 20% overnight. With widgets off same mode: only 2 percent.

Looks like anything that tries to query the battery status drains it too rapidly. Already gave up battery monitor and billboard apps.
