Any update?

Also: Can Telegram be integrated with the standard "VoIP and IM accounts" so a chat can be initiated from the Contacts application?

indeed.

As far as I know it does requires connection to a hub system that is controlled by the vendor.

Is it possible to sync phone contacts with Telegram using N900 version or should I do that on nitdroid instead?

Hi all,

Is the best (only?) method to use telegram on a N900? I want to start using my N900 as a phone - I am currently using it as a portable emacs PC - and only need telegram to make the shift. Is it still supported by devs?

Will try it out anyway - but if someone with hands on experience can share his/her thoughts that would be great.

Thanks for your work on " purple-protocol-telegram" but unfortunately it doesn't work on my N900.

After entering my phone number I received this SMS from telegram:

For openpandora (has the same SOC) there is an almost fully working desktop version developed (only sound has some issues).
I don't know if it would be an easy port, but below are the details.

Reflashed my N900 - installed CSSU - copied TelegramN900 to /home/user/ but I need to install requiered libraries (libconfig, libreadline, libssl)
Started with libconfig, but it doesn't seem to be available in the repo.

There is a package libconfig8 in extras-devel, try that.
