odd choice, my year old x99 / 5820k machine doesn't have bluetooth.
a phone just for laptop'pers!

If you really need it, a USB Bluetooth adapter can be had for very cheap. (Cheaper than a non-included tablet charger that I didn't need to buy for a certain tablet that never appeared. :( )

But I agree it's a curious choice to have a cord that can't carry both data and power. I too just assumed that it would. How . . . um . . . nostalgic?

Funny fact that you might miss: the Charging port, is ONLY for charging... NOT for data transfer! (Yes, you can't connect it to a pc!?)

They state in the description page that it is the security concept of this phone to only allow access via proprietary connections.

It will be a proprietary piece of software running on your machine and the phone :D

But i have to confess to Dave, i will place the bet out of curiosity and because it will not hurt me.
Waterproofness is definately a plus at work!
It will take the turing places that jolla was to shy for ;)

They could have gone further with this and included wireless charging, then it could have had no connections at all. Hermetically sealed. With a little cannister of mustard gas primed inside.

Personally, no.
My threshold to spend money on crowdfundings sank drastically since i work selfemployed, live out of the suitcase in hotels all over europe and have not much time and need to spend money on common material stuff.

So crowdfunding is an ideal fit for me.
I have news on a topic that really interests me and if it succeds i can enjoy the device much more, having a history with it.

And that exactly is what i am doing already right now, sitting in a cheap hotel in Rostock, accompanied by pretty awesome mr. "2007 Müller-Ruprecht Spätburgunder", checking for your all thoughts about that turing thingy on functional kaputt hotel wifi and call it a relaxing distraction

cheers!

Nope ...
I'd accept the award, invest in Turing Pharmaceuticals while I'm at it...
I think they were doing a great job hiking the price of life saving drugs people needed...

I'd rather become american "just" to vote for Trump...than accept an award from a society which used the man, ostracized the man, and inevitably drove the man to a final solution ...then names an award after him...

It is about as... "honoring" of the man as ...say ...what is contemporary?...as.. wearing a "Redskins" jersey... is in fact "honoring" Native peeps here.

I will not give an answere to not mislead anyone ;)
Chances are it is a scam, do not put any money you might miss into turing.

Let's hope it's real. You deserve a product.

You dont even think its odd that jolla is totally quite about a new partner?

A confirmation from Jolla would atleast give some weight to the story.

Gee, I like the Redskins. But I was wondering. I would't mind owning a Tesla. Is that ok?
