You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
bluemaemo: Depends: efl-core but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python2.5-edbus but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python2.5-efl-core but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python2.5-ecore but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python2.5-evas but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python2.5-edje but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python-configobj but it is not going to be installed
Depends: python2.5-elementary but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

The bluetooth way usually not require this one.

I've used Salling Clicker. I don't need to Google anything. It's a 'proprietary' system. It doesn't support "both". It uses the same method of comms, just over a different transport media.

Go play in traffic.

Bluemaemo and 49 "strange" other packages were removed and can't be reinstalled.

Any help would be really nice.

I had the lag once too but it was only intermittent and only happened once. Does it go away if you close bluemaemo then reopen and reconnect or is it persistent?

Go here buddy and you will find on the bottom left hand side all previous versions. Click on one and somewhere on the top you will find the source file (.deb).

Hope that helps!

Edit: Just noticed that the files are no longer there. I would recommend you email Valerio (the creator). He is really nice and I'm sure he can point you in the right direction. He's helped me in the past. Good luck!

Yeah, I noticed that to. I've been trying to get dpkg-repack for maemo

http://maemo.org/packages/view/dpkg-repack/

so I can repackage v0.3.8 for changegames and post a link to the .deb here. I've never used dpkg-repack before so is there any advice from somebody who has? I have a missing dependencies problem and I don't know where to get dpkg-dev.

Cue 2011-02-08 13:35

Re: Introducing BlueMaemo

Sorry changegames I couldn't get dpkg-repack to install in the end. :(

Your going to have to ask Valerio, or somebody here who has installed bluemaemo could check their archive at

/var/cache/apt/archives

to see if the .deb is still there. Unfortunately mine has been cleared.

I had the same exact problem, and it was super annoying but somehow I solved it.

Every time I tried to use keyboard or mouse from the already connected PC, after a couple of seconds it would disconnect.

I don't know exactly what solved it, but from what I can remember, I did the following:

I clicked on the "local" properties of the menu, that is Settings and About.

I also waited for a couple of minutes in the main menu (the screen with the icons labeled Mouse, Keyboard, Gamepad, and so on...)

At some point, I saw that the application was "minimized", like when you click on the left side button. I don't know if I did that on purpose or if after some time it minimized itself...

The thing is that after it was minimized, the application started to behave properly, for ever...

Now it always works correctly so I can't go back and test what caused it to work, but I didn't do anything else than what I just said.

Hopefully you can make it to work as well....

@ jinnn_1989, casper27 as well as anyone else facing this problem.

I've created a dirty hack which made bluemaemo work (at least its showing the UI without useful errors). I do not know if it is the screen one is supposed to see as I don't have many bluetooth devices to play around with. Tried pairing N95-1 with errors and I don't see anything new in the main menu.

Anyway the hack is:
Code:

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libembryo-ver-svn-05.so.0.9.9 /usr/lib/libembryo-ver-svn-03.so.0
What the hack does is that it would soft link an older version of libembryo as requested by bluemaemo with the later version of libembryo provided within the repositories.

It is suggested from then on that one shouldn't be running bluemaemo on screen as the program would start displaying control chars which may mess up the prompts once exited. If the prompts were messed up with the control chars, one can type in "reset" (without quotes) and ignoring however its displayed on the screen and this in theory should reset the console prompt back to normal. Failing that would require one to exit that terminal session/ssh (back to host where one can then reset the terminal from their localhost) or otherwise.

link to the screenshot of bluemaemo 0.3-10 working.

BLUEMAEMO DISCONNECTS AFTER THE FIRST KEYSTROKE [SOLVED]!!!

I solved following these steps:
1) remove every device from the bluetooth control panel of maemo
2) reset the bluetooth on pc (turn off and then on)
3) pair N900 with pc, trusting the device
4) start bluemaemo and connect
5) enjoy

it solved everything in my case. hope this helps

I hope this will work on mac osx aswell, will try later then im home!

EDIT:
Seems this doesn't fix it for Mac OS X 10.6
Although it could be me doing something wrong, but i highly doubt it.

you may try also to change the bluetooth names of the devices, both n900 and pc, just to assure fresh pairing between the devices.
