Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
I don't have the 0.4.0 beta or anything, but I'm very curious how the PSX games Chrono Cross, Suikoden and Suikoden 2 run in that version. So if someone could try them out and tell me, I would appreciate it :)

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
Could you port SNES9X from openpandora source? I hear the newer version can even run Super Mario RPG.

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
Couple of thoughts crossing my mind:
This week I have new beta in schedule for beta testers. It has psx emulation in final state. I don't know whether in-app help will be included. Then I will send it to the Ovi Store. Then I am going to rewrite the whole thing to Qt5, with portability in mind, so it would be possible to run EmuMaster on many platforms including Desktops, Android and maybe NaCl(with different frontend). It will be easier to contribute to the project then. The only variable here is my free time. |

- use QtQuick 2.0 and new features - make the frontend more elastic or switchable, e.g. to use on tablets, desktops - make easier to mantain versions of saved states - make everything faster by some tricks :) - make it easier to contribute to the project Qt5 - I don't know how it will be installed, it's Beta2 now, I am waiting for the final release. |
Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
Hi!
I'm planning to buy one or two PS3 controllers and a TV cable for my N9 but I'm a bit confused about the controllers. I never had a PS3 but I was able to figure out there is a difference between a sixaxis and a dualshock 3 controllers. I'm looking for a controller that is 100% compatible with emumaster, but unsure which one I should choose. 1. Cheap Chinese copy: probably won't work 2. Original PS3 sixaxis: this will work 3. Original PS3 dualshock older version: ??? 4. Original PS3 dualshock newer version: ??? Sixaxis controller is quiet rare now and finding a Dualshock 3 would be a much easier. + 1 if the vibration is working for PSX emulation. Sooo, which controller would you suggest to buy? Thx |
Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
model no. CECHZC2E works for sure.

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
Have beta testers been testing out the new beta of Emumaster?

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
Is there a setting to lower audio sample rate for GBA emulation? With some other emulators I've managed to get rid of sound stuttering by reducing audio quality so I thought it would be worth trying.

The bad news is that saves from Emumaster 0.3.0 were not compatible with Emumaster 0.4.0 beta... |
Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
Apologies if this has been answered before but I did try search but cannot find anything on it.
I am using the Sega emulator to play Street of Rage 2 but i don't like the button mappings. It is too unlike the usual Sega controller and I cannot press B and C together to throw my weapons.. Question is, can i rearrange or remap the butttons? TIA! |

For your information, us beta testers didn't receive yet the new beta. I also hope this comes soon. Maybe if people donate a little to elemental, it would increase his motivation and speed up the development... |

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
@Elemental
I noticed that SixAxis monitor in EMumaster shuts down bluetoothd and initializes itself just fine. That is, I only need to start monitoring mode from emumaster, give root password, tap the button on the controller and I'm ready to go, even if before that bluetoothd was running. I run # /usr/sbin/bluetoothd after quitting a game session (without it FM tuner and normal bluetooth fetures won't work.) Any reason why SixAxis monitor doesn't just do this (restart bluetoothd) on exit? From what I understand, users wouldn't have to do anything and things would "just work". |
Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
Hello everyone. I'm new here, I've just bought this amazing phone, Nokia N9, and now I have downloaded emumaster v.3 from appstore and I'm trying to get things working. I have couple questions for anyone who could help ;
- How to get 8-way or analog gamepad working? I only have the traditional 4-way and it sucks in many games.. - Heard that the only disc one of the games work in psx. is that true? If they fix it for v.4, can the save states be transferred there from v.3?? I have played Probotector (contra) nes, Super mario world snes, and the adventures of lomax psx so far. Everything worked perfectly except lomax had no sound and the four way gamepad was a *****, couldn't move or jump cross. Thanks for your help. oh and of course, what I forgot to say is that I want to thank Elemental for awesome job. I'm really looking into playing final fantasys from I to IX on my n9. would be amazing |

Otherwise, multiple discs run just fine. Finally, even if savestates for later versions aren't compatible, the games' own saves should still be (memory card files on PS1, for instance), so you could use these when changing versions. |
Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
ok.. thanks..So I assume the smartest thing to do then is to wait for v. 0.4.0 to come out so that I can be sure that my progress in the game wont be in vain and I can "change discs"..
what about the game touch pad then.. how can I get a moving control pad like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70PTa827ymg or an eight-way moving game pad? It's really hard to play with only four way gamepad.. |
Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0

And I think there are even settings to configure the size of the 4 diagonal buttons somewhere. |
Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
Oh I see. Yeah there are settings to edit the size of the pad, I've tried them... but for me the moving pad works only four-way for some reason, even though I have version 0.3.0. I dont know why :(... All the other controls are working really smoothly.
EDIT: sorry to bother you guys on this matter, I was a bit hasty with trying to find best settings.. I almost minimized other and maxed other size setting of the pad, and now it's working at some amount. But this for sure will be better in new version :) |

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0

0.4 is quite ambitious in terms of new features, and some of them were not fully implemented. A lot of work was still needed, and Elemental is working alone. I think he is quite a perfectionist and really wants a polished version. But at the same time he has less free time to work on the project, that's why there is this delay. The time he takes to write a changelog and to package a new beta for testers is as much time removed from actual development. So I think he wants to have the 0.4 version in a releasable state before sending it to the beta testers. |
Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0
Cant wait for a new version!
