Well, one of the operators in Sweden,3, is saying that the release will now be week 52..

One of the biggest internet mobile stores(katshing.se) sent a mail today and according to them N900 will not hit the Swedish market this year...probably at the end of january 2010.

If this is true or not, I don´t know...but if it is, Nokia will lose alot of orders on the N900..

So how come I'm seeing lots of people with it on the net doing unboxings etc?
Was there just a couple hundred loaned out to testers or something?

Anyone have any idea how many centuries we'll have to wait before it's available in the Oceania region?
(New Guinea, Aust, NZ etc)

Yes, 300 units were loaned to the participants of the Maemo Summit two weeks ago, plus a certain number of pre-production units were circulating amongst the developers...

Compete and utter SCAM... don't touch with a barge pole... even the stock quote like on their website is not for their company but another in China. And the sale department number listed above is a UK MOBILE PHONE!!!

I read somewhere that Nokia would do firmware update that includes fix for this at the end of December. So maybe swedish operators and shops are delaying N900 to December in Sweden.

King of gadgets had that date too up until today and have changed it till the 12 Nov now.

It's either just laziness or they are hoping that they can pick up a few pre orders on the strength of it.

It's interesting that they chose that date which is close to the Newegg date. Right now we're all reading above, below, and between every line we see.

I know. I just enjoy torturing myself with hope. Amazon still haven't bothered telling me they won't be shipping it next week. I soooo want this to arrive during my holiday when I'll have playing time. ;)

Actually, Amazon have never lied to me before. Nokia... well, the reason for buying from Amazon is that I had less than happy service. But Amazon have never let me down in all the years I've used them and all the hundreds of pounds I've spent (mostly on books...)

So actually, they have a pretty good track record. Oh Damn! Now I'm hoping again!

Nokia USA use to say pre-order only now they have changed the entire page, and put up a 'estimated delivery end of October' date on it.

I was saying END OF OCTOBER 2009 before the Peter Maemo annoucement. Alas, they just haven't bothered to update the webpage... better to get people on the hook to buy thinking it will ship by the end of the month.

Not sure what you're referring to, but that page hasn't changed in weeks. Says Pre-Order on that button and you get to that page by hitting Pre-Order on the N900 page.

I call today Nokiausa and said they haven't updated their website. They told me will be shipping the latest november 15. That is not clear is it before that date or at that date, it was not possible to have further detail....

They also said they receive a notice for that at the end of last week as we all know that matter here.

They must have changed after irritating me... Thing is, i got an email from the shop i ordered my n900, telling me that it wont be out until the end of January. Can anyone confirm if thats true? Peter? Im from Sweden BTW (swedish shop).

Disappointing if true. I was hoping Nokia would do the sensible thing and launch everywhere after this delay. It looks like they're still going to do their per-market rollout which will push some of them into 2010

Pretty self-explanatory. Last week when I went to the NokiaUSA website and clicked on the N900, it was a totally different page and no date whatsoever. Now I click on it this week and it's different. First time I've seen it change.

So not sure what you're referring to either...

Im still waiting for confirmation on the delay of the N900 to swedish markets. Im talking about end-of-January-über-delay.

so nokia canceled my order due to a technical error. so i had to replace my order and i no longer get the bluetooth or the extended warranty but i do get 15% off the order.

oh and to let everyone know that this happened to almost all n900 orders.

I was on the phone while typing this and i asked when through if the release date is still mid novemebr and he said that is next week. he has info that it will be next week.

there is something i dont understand in expansys website they list 2 different N900 one costs 600$ and the other 699$ the 1st is us version the other is UK version and the UK one says estimated 7 days ? does anyone knows whats the defference i mean isn't both the same :O :O
