Hope coderus gets his jolla soon.

i'm using MK 0.1-29 on sailfish 1038.

I noticed that MK now supports landscape mode in the chat window, but not the main window with contacts. Not sure if this is because of sailfish update or coderus update.

Problem: whenever MK chat is in landscape mode and i swipe from the side to go to the home screen, the GUI window is closed. The daemon is still running as I am still getting messages, but need to reopen MK from the apps screen to see them. I also get a notification when swiping up from the bottom of the screen

No problems when the chat is in portrait mode.

@TMavica about a week after shipping. I'll notice when it will be shipped.
@zero please read 1.0.3.8 release notes and ask Jolla why gestures working in that way :)

Define "from the side" - on my Jolla the behaviour with the new update is as I think it should be - swiping from the side in landscape mode means from the shorter ends of tzhe phone, what was the top or bottom when holding it in portrait mode. i.e. When in landscape mode your finger does exactly the same to close or go to home screen as in portrait, although the phone is rotated 90°.

I think this behaviour is logical and intuitive, but maybe they could include a switch for people who like it the other way around.

Or have I misunderstood you and your Jolla actually closes when you swipe your finger left-right in landscape?

I dont use this app.
But, you should have access to a device for many, many other reasons.
Really surprised with what you have achieved without a device.

Oh I see, MK is a native app so the whole phone is rotated and the side becomes the top.

The problem is I got used to aliendalvik in landscape and the side is still the side. So something for jolla to fix not coderus.

Hello everyone,

Please, has anyone got version V0.1-29 saved that they could email me or upload somewhere?

I had V0.1-29 running and it was perfect for me. All issues fixed!!

But I installed the new V0.1-30 and it no longer will connect :(
I have tried re installing etc and it has not helped.

Looks like WhatsApp is fighting very hard against open source clients. Somehow they haven't notice (?) this, but I would assume some troubles are coming also for Mitäkuuluu..

As far as i understood, those apps have used Whatsapps name and logos, which obviously isnt allowed. Why would they even have hackable API if they didnt want 3rd party apps using it?

There are many git services around. GitHub is most popular, but no difference if we move to bitbucket or so.

github means nothing for mitakuuluu. its just a place for storing issues and your wishes :)

I believe I have solved the problem I've been having.
I put my SIM in another phone and installed the official WA client.

It would not let me register, as it showed my 1 free year had expired and I needed to pay £0.69 !!!

Once paid, the official WA client functioned. I swapped the SIM back to my Jolla phone. I had to re-authorise the account with the text message delivered PIN number.

Mitakuuluu is now running again.

I did not realise how important to my daily communication WA had become.

Thanks for all your help.

Hope this helps someone else who may experience the same issue.

Sorry for OT: I am just wondering here why Coderus is still sitting in far forrests of Russia. Why he is not living already in Finland and why he does not have a software engineer position in Jolla? You have proven to be hard working and to have all the skills it takes for the position...

hi,

my account expired yesterday and today it it has been blocked. Any Idea how can I unlock it? It's all about the payment of whatsapp right?
