Hi,
I just installed the 2.2 version but I cannot see my contacts anymore.
My contacts list is always empty even after synchronization.

Can anybody give me a tip how to get my contacts back?
Already active conversations can be used without problem.

I got them back just by shutting whatsup completely and starting again.

Hmm strange... doesn't work for me..
I disconnected and restarted the app but the list is still empty.
Should I reboot the phone? maybe it's a bug in the contacts app itsself?

Do you have the auto start function enabled?
If so, turn it off and try again

Still cannot register my number :-(.
Sms and call me still not working. What I doing wrong?
I used droid and ios version before.

Please someone an idea? Uninstall, reboot, tried everything, but no succes. Using the new 0.2.2 version.

My contacts disappear from time to time as well. They get restored after rebooting the phone completely.

Tried the 2.2. version and it works. But it has a bug which removes the last word of the sentence to be sent when I press the send button.

And I recognized now that it was reported already.

Ok, so it only works for people that used Whatsup before?
New users cannot use it? Registration is then already broken for a long time. Version 0.2.1 also did not work at all.

Error I posted before here. I hope this will be fixed soon.

Strangely, sms registration worked out of the box in my case...
Well, i was already registered on android app before, perhaps it has sonething to do with that

Hi Cepi,
yes I have 1.1.9.28 running with the older Whatsup 1.9 there was also no problem.
I also turned off the "Lauch Whatsup at startup" Option as mentioned before and several times disconnected and then closed the app before restarting still no contacts.

I now restarted the phone and I can see the list of contacts again.
BUT...in reverse Order... my list starts with Z entries..haha.. not really a problem but a bit uncomfortable and irritating if you don't expect it.

Are you sure you really have restarted the app? Disconnecting is not enough, you have to choose "quit" in right menu (or kill whatsup through terminal). Only Mitäkuuluu3 quits by disconnecting and swiping from top :)

Then is is even more weird for me. I tried all situations. Registered on Android, on ios. Even drop the registration on both? But in no way I can register with sms/call me inside Whatsup.

Maybe someone over here can tell me if it is an problem if you are registered on the ios/android client and then want to try it in Sailfish?

Maybe using a backup (with no history) of an other user is usefull? So it looks like I used Whatsup before, and then try to register my phonenumber?

I hope someone can give me an answer.

Now it works again as usual...
very strange...

The contact list is now sorted from A till Z as it should be but In didn't restart the app at all in between.
Well my problem is "solved" somehow by itsself .. I'll keep an eye on it in case it is happening again I will try to collect logs ASAP, thanks for the support...

Another observation, with tohkbd2 attached, one can also use the send button and it works. it seems like a bit weird bug :)

On top of that I would like to add that someone got banned for using the appoint and denounce group admin feature in bulk again. Can we please find out what is causing this? Maybe there's a limitation on how to apply these things?

anyone having this issue where by,,,when what sup crashes,it breaks the registry and everything resets,,,,e,g,,the folder arrangement resets, you loose repos on warehouse...

Yes, I have also had this happen to me several times now and I have only been used by this application for a month. Unfortunately Whatsup (but WhatsApp itself as well) is a piece of proprietary horseturd, so no one can even figure out what is causing this. Maybe it crashes on uploading all your data to the developer!
