Something of both, but yes, largely Adobe. And it's possible to show up in an update.

Sorry but Symbian is so horrible that i would not even go near at it. If you are thinking of E7 why in the world would you not go for Android?

I'm kind of on the edge with this one. HDMI out missing is huge thing for me, but i really like the UI and design.
I really don't have any must buy from Android. GS2 is too big but got the right specs. Who knows i might end up buiyng iphone 5 next to my iphone 4. :D

Does it bloody matter ? If it doesnt have it, it doesnt have it. Who cares who's issue it is ?

As for showing up flash showing up in an update.... really ? do we have to go through that song and dance again ?

I was talking more about functionality dude. This device while sexy as hell is missing aspects of functionality that made owning the N900 such a joy to own. FM transmitter for example. However adding GPS that the N900 should have had from the get go isn't really bringing any new sort of functionality to the table and frankly it is a little disappointing.

According to Nokia Euro....

Supported Video Formats: 3GPP formats (H.263), ASF, AVI, Flash Video, H.264/AVC, Matroska, MPEG-4, VC-1, WMV 9

So the media player supports flash video but not the browser?

Re: The EPIC N9 anticipation thread

See this folks
http://www.developer.nokia.com/info/...ase_Notes.html

Code:

Nokia N950 phone hardware specification
=======================================

Nokia N950 phone uses same hardware components as the Nokia N9 phone
with the following exceptions:

* N950 is physically larger and is made out of aluminum, whereas N9 has
  a polycarbonate unibody.
* N950 has a physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The N9 is a touchscreen
  -only device.
* N950 has a 4” TFT LCD display whereas N9 has 3.9” AMOLED display.
  Display resolution is same on both devices (854x480). Due to the use
  of different display technologies, developers should avoid one pixel
  with fonts and graphical objects with lines one pixel wide. Also avoid
  the extensive use of bright colors, especially white, when developing
  for OLED displays as this increases the power consumption (typical
  for OLED displays).
* N950 has a different physical camera module than N9. Both camera
  modules have very similar image quality (Carl Zeiss branding in N9)
  and both modules support 8Mpix image mode.
* In the N950 the front facing camera is in top right corner and on N9
  it is in the bottom right corner. The actual camera module is same.
* N950 supports Bluetooth version 2.1+EDR, whereas N9 supports
  version 4.0
* N950 does not have support for NFC
* N9 has slightly more sensitive magnetometer and ALS
* N950 has 1320mAh battery, the N9 has 1450mAh battery

Re: The EPIC N9 anticipation thread

Here's a somewhat valid question. So let's say the interface with the swiping and all that doesn't get ported to N900. No big deal...

What I'd like to see is the Qt apps (especially an upgraded Ovi Maps) make it's way to the N900.

At this point I'm kind of on the fence about buying this.

Some say that the battery isn't replaceable. Well, it looked to me in the video of putting it together that you could somehow pull it out of it's unibody plastic and swap batteries.

And I agree, what the crap is up with it missing the HDMI port?

And even more so... why can't I select the notify me when it's available because I'm in the USA? Is it coming here? and What about when the FCC spec becomes public, will all the specs for the RM-680 be made available? I really don't see the advantage between the Dev device and the Consumer device, as has been touted here many times before.

I still think the N950 looks like more of what I wanted to replace my N900! Gimme gimme gimme!!!

Nokia didn't fail to amaze us again! Amaze how dumb they are.

Why even bother releasing a device that screams old hardware and dead OS.

If they were going to go with the dead OS, at least give us some good hardware to lean and develop on. For God's sake, Microsft should buy and close Nokia for good. I don't think I will miss then now.

Looks like N950 is just a bit behind N9 hardware wise (unless they skipped some details on CPU/GPU). Why isn't it sold for the public??

Dont worry ppl... it looks nd feels like Nokia is really going to support this, nd if they are not, it looks like it is giving the community a helping hand... I mean making awesome NFC players nd technology to accommodate the Nokia N9, that just shows u that they are going for a winner here, besides the features seem somewhat incomplete, but lets wait and see... im just saying this is not the same nokia i know... this is a different side of nokia.... Thats just my opinion...

Well why are you calling it a dead OS ? MeeGo was what you expected and what you wanted. Now you get and so you call it dead OS ? Weird people.

And specs, who said it will have dual core ? you imagined it and now that its not there you are sad.

Let's see how long it takes before Nokia cancels the support and dev. Work. For N900 it was less than a year..
Users will have a device with half-baked apps and no future.

Will devices released for different countries differ in hw specs (frequencies etc.?). I.e. is it OK to get the device in the different country?

What the hell is up with that? Well, Android is annoying, but it's better than it used to be. I refuse to buy anything with Microsoft anything on it (even the thought that the N900 supports connecting to an Exchange server makes me cringe).

Guess it might be time to import the bastard. :D
