In the meantime, NOK on NYSE is down to mere $2.01 - a penny away from the psychological limit... The way it started, it may very well go under $2 today, sooner than I expected...

P.S. Speaking of stock price, here's an interesting comparison:

Hmm. How to explain this. IMO MS is not threatened not yet. They still have the PC market with all the hottest games, and Office and servers. No matter what happens to the mobile industry, people still will have to work (MS Office), and the server market will soar when more and more people use smartphones and becomes connected to the cloud.

Nokia on the other hand is backing off in a market of extreme growth. That is not good, and therefore the stock price is way below what is should be based on the value of the company.

Plus Microsoft has surface and Windows 8 on the way to the market. What nokia has for the future is still nothing. If nokia said. We have an super cool tablet and a new lumia kick associated with 41 mp and wireless Charing. The value would hit micro dollars values in no time. Stock is not about result. It's about future and expectations. Now, why is I'm not in Elop shoes...

I've been watching other threads of interest to me--but there's really hardly anything going on. Generally, the whole TMO scene has gotten pretty boring/quiet/uninteresting--especially when all I have is a now rarely-used N800, I'm disinterested in buying a Maemo device with a phone and the N9 is a dead-end device for Maemo/MeeGo. These platforms are, effectively, pretty dead and there's no way in hell I'd want a Windows OS tablet. I keep hoping for some intelligence to suddenly strike Nokia, but it doesn't look like it. ...And THAT'S about all we can talk about when we look at the future of Nokia and especially Maemo. What else did you expect?

So... any new news for the Android thread man? I've been using my Xoom more and more, waiting on the Chameleon launcher and using the Team EOS nightly builds...

Hah! Too much news to bother with it here. I've mainly been buzzing it up all over Google+ and the Droid Fans group on Facebook. Already reserved my Nexus 7 to get off of my Galaxy Tab 7 (OG) but I get the feeling I'm not ready to get rid of my Galaxy Tab quite yet even one I get the new one. heh I've been hanging tight onto my ICS (AOKP) while I wait and watch how Jellybean runs on the Galaxy Nexus but so far, NOBODY seems to be complaining. I might just have to go ahead and flash it on my phone. It seems to be quite an positive experience for everyone pretty universally.

...Also, just to be a little relevant to Maemo.. Even considering my continued attachment to my Galaxy Tab 7 (OG) and Droid (OG) (both still using the latest updates of apps, ironically), no such excitement for my N800. *sigh*

To end on a positive note... OMIGOD the amazing native USB/OTG/HID/joystick/keyboard/mouse/drives/etc support in Jellybean... Hooooooly crap!!! :)

OK. Yes, now there is nothing. I think I will do a properr reflash of my N9, tinker a bit, and put it to rest. Stupig Google wwont release the Nexus 7 outside us/uk/aus before they have the full google play up and running. Music, videos, hw, not just apps. According to rumors, it may take a yeaar or more, although Google themself wont say anything deffinite. The point is, I have no idea when, it can be 3 months, it can be 18. The Surface on the other hand, will be here just as soon as anywhere else. The lust for new and shiny is much larger than old grudges, so that decision is pretty much sealed. Whatever is released first.

Besides, I actually enjoy my Lumia 800. I never thought that moment would happen. But tthe ui is a masterpiece, when you get past the lack of features, lack of multitasking and let it simply do it's job. With a much more capable NT kernel, this may be cool.

But maemo, meego is definitely dead.

As it turns out, Nokia looks to be surviving. Much thanks to Google not having their full ecosystem up andd running world wide. Full steam with Surface, WP8 andd Win8 and Google unable to do anything about it. Interesting times ahead, that's for sure.

My biggest prob... I can't go below the 10.1 inch screen on my Xoom. Not because of resolution, but real estate.

I might check out the Nexus 7, if it feels right, I'll buy it, hack the ever loving daylights out of my Xoom even further.

Found out Chameleon will support the Nexus - but I need to find out if it'll be a chore or easy to get root and if I'll love the movies/videos.

Or... if I can trade the Xoom out - I might do that. 3rd gen iPad, HP Touchpad, finally got rid of the Amazon Fire and a Xoom. That's pretty bad.
