Re: TOHKBD rev2

I have the tohkbd qwertz layout fully working now :)

to get this you need sfos 1.1.9.28 (you need to opt in early adopter updates atm)

next you need the latest tohkbd software testing build from kimmoli : http://repo.merproject.org/obs/home:....1.armv7hl.rpm

you also need to modify two system files to get the full layout working in sfos and alien dalvik:

first replace /usr/share/qt5/keymaps/boston.qmap with http://kimmoli.com/tauhkaa/boston.qmap

for qwertz in alien-dalvik replace /opt/alien/system/usr/keychars/Generic.kcm with this file: http://www.file-upload.net/download-...neric.kcm.html

Re: TOHKBD rev2

Will we still get automatic updates if we install the rpm from Kimmoli's testing builds?

I had the software installed automatically thanks to the NFC, but since 1.1.9.28 the version officially supported in the store seems really outdated. SF2.0 is an early update, so no rush intended. But I'm asking whether the official tohkbd update is expected soon or not, because otherwise I'll go for the manual install of testing builds.

With the last official version and non-qwerty layouts, even if most letters work, they don't all correspond to their physical keys, and the most problematic is special characters like punctuations, brackets, dashes, etc. While it was possible to type texts with no accents so far (not work emails though), it's not possible anymore if the punctuation can't be used easily, unless you learn by heart what characters the keys will actually correspond to.

Yes you will still get updates. If the version number in Jolla Store is higher then your manually installed testing build you'll get informed.

Good, thanks! Where can I find the qmap and kcm files for other layouts than qwertz? From the layouts shown in the new option of the tohkbd2 application, it seems azerty is not available yet.

As clumsy as I am, I trashed the casing of my beloved TOHKBD.

Tried to use shapeways to print a replacement, but they threw it back because "Thin Walls". Material was orange strong & flexible polished, the file I tried to print is this: https://github.com/dirkvl/TOHKBD/blo...els/casing.stl

Has anyone tried and succeeded in printing a TOHKBD casing?
