Re: New T-mobile Plans

Hhmm... maybe people in US should cancel their n900's that were ordered from amazon, seems like you guys might have something cooking up over there :)

That's only if we want to be tied down to T-mobile for 1-2 years....no more contracts for me. My life is too unpredictable to get bombarded with ETF charges.

Also I like my phones unlocked.

I agree with both post above me about contracts and unlocked phones, but you never know what you'll find. Maybe Tmo will give a special deal if you get the n900 with a plan?

I never thought I'd be in a contract with one of the local operators, but they gave such a good deal that it was hard to refuse:

3000min
3000 txt msgs
unlimited internet, and the coverage is pretty good with about 95% of places I go have 3.5G.
and you get the Nokia N900, for 57€/month for 2 years.

I know the annoyance of being in a contract, but never say never =)

gl guys...

t-mobile unlocks your phone after 3 or 6 months of service. It's pretty cool all my blackberries have been unlocked

Hmm so I wonder if a subsidized phone will mean a higher monthly price? or will it be the same exact price, just with a 2 year contract?
All of a sudden I'm starting to rethink my pre-order purchase.

Do any of you gather there to be a price advantage if getting into one of these contracts with "your own" phone instead of the tmobile subsidized phone?

Seems like from the second of the large better res images that there will be options for both subsidized and unsubsidized phone.

Though I can't really imagine them offering the same price for both (besides the fact that they would lose money on the phones unless whoever is selling them the phones is also willing to work with them). Not to mention then what would be the benefit of getting an uncontract phone?

Hmm and I just went into tmobile today to get a plan. Good thing I got it month-to-month.

Yeah that's what I was thinking if I did buy the n900 elsewhere. But apparantly all will be reviewed the 25th? So less then two weeks to go if that commenter was right.
