... I don't think I can stress enough just how much I love MyPaint ... it's getting me back into drawing, and so much easier than paper and pencil ... mainly cos there's an undo for when I go totally wrong!

... thanks heaps for porting this peeps! (Am hoping there will be an Extras version that opens consistently someday soon!)

... another evening's doodling!

I would love to start painting. Could someone please draw a sketch and post it on youtube (even speeded up). I would like to know what tools are used and how to create which effects.

I think Tone put up a couple already ... try this ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4z1svphlJM

... honestly it's a ridiculously simple way of drawing digitally, give it a go! ... until you can remember the keyboard shortcuts you can access everything from the top dropdown menu ... try the brushes (B) ... colour (C) ... change brush size (D/F) ... change brush opacity (A/S) ... and toggle between paint and eraser (E) ... the brushes are pressure sensitive, so it's just like drawing properly ...

... and don't forget to let us know how you do!

LOL! ... not that I want you selling off your n900 but I believe MyPaint has also been ported to Android phones, and iPhone ... (course the user experience on the iPhone must be totally different with a capacitive screen ... on the n900 it's just so much like drawing it's unreal!)

... glad I'm not the only one loving it!

Hello!
...nice portrait, EmmaGx!

There is random test sheet of mine brush set v2
http://lpt.fi/~kasutoni/mypaint_n900...test_sheet.jpg

And here comes image of my styluses.. :D
http://lpt.fi/~kasutoni/mypaint_n900...m_styluses.jpg

And also some quick image about mindless sketching
with new Oil variants...

I am still tweaking and working with MyPaint.
Unfortunately I have to do my "real" works also.. :D

I really think now.. that this is "almost perfect now"
pencils, ink, and oil is so nice to work with..

EDIT: btw. those mine old youtube videos are not so good...
I have improved so much mypaint brushes and new Global Pressure Mapping ... drawing and painting feel is now amazing real.

I am so excited to release these improvements soon.. :)

Thanks to all...
Tone

Re: Look what I drew on my phone

... am liking the custom stylus idea! would get painful drawing with the n900's for too long!

... thanks for all your work on brushes and stuff! I usually draw in pencil, and the ones on here produce such similar results it's unreal! I could never draw in ink in real life as I just end up with a mess, but the mypaint ink brushes seem to work really well too, and instead of ending up in a sticky inky mess I get results I'm proud of! ... may even have to give colour a go!

... I showed my dad (who's an artist) this earlier ... he totally loved it ... think I'm going to have to work hard to keep my n900 out of my arty friends hands now I've downloaded this ... and so totally perfect for sketching on the go! (will have to make more of an effort to fdraw from life ... both of the portraits I've done so far have been from photos!)

... it is a really good time-waster/creative-outlet of an app ... definitely my favourute n900 app!

... been trying colour ... and imagination ... (I don't often draw from imagination, so it's not very imaginitive!)
