Re: Jolla TABLET User Experience Thread

Ok I think I will start a thread this evening. I don't have my tablet with me and I don't want to start just with two or three entrees ;)

That's still better than zero; but I appreciate your pending work on this. Thank you in advance.

Oh no...

I'm going to create one, and maybe Fellfrosch can add on the thread when you have time.

No intention to compete here... But if "Soon™" appeared then should be eliminated as soon™ as possible.

Update: Live here.

If I've understood this correctly... have you installed MCE Tools?

If so, try this:
Code:

mcetool --set-lid-sensor-mode=enabled
Your case will turn off the screen now when closed.

Well, there is also a setting for that in the display section of the settings page. But it doesn't change anything. No matter, if I try the gui way or via terminal and mce-tools. Maybe there is something wrong with my case. It was in a bad state when it arived. I had to reassemble it partly. Thanks for your your help anyway.

Do you not have a magnet in the top right of the Lastucase?

To test, take a regular refrigerator magnet, place it over and to the right of the forward facing camera, near the top right corner (screen facing you)

Re: Jolla TABLET User Experience Thread

Yes the magnet is there, But my tablet doesn't react, when i place a magnet there.

Edit:
I've done a reboot and after that time the device switched of when I closed the case. But it didn't awake again by tapping the screen. I needed to use the power button. After that action the tablet does not react on the magnets anymore. Thid is reproducable behaviour.

Known... Same behavior...
When you open it with power button, close screen with swipe from up side. Open it with double tap and try case again... Don't remember exactly, just play with it...
