It is possible. You need the keyboard focus fix found on this page.

Could any kind soul, who knows how to make it work, update bluemaemo in extras to working version (including all fixes/workarounds required)?

If uploading to repos is a black magic to some, I can upload it (of course, giving proper credits to mentioned kind soul) - I just need all required things in one place, so I can deb'ify it and put into extras-devel.

It's silly, that we have it in repositories in non-working state, and plentora of arcane manual fixes are required, to actually make it work.

Sadly, no one was interested. It is a pity - bluemaemo is interesting tool, but messy chaos surrounding manuals to actually make it work, made me avoid it like grim illness - it looks, like you could spend hours before actually gathering required steps from scattered posts. Otherwise, I would upload fixed version myself...

Ok ppl im totly new in n900 but after 3days I managed to get this stupid program working.

Sudo gain root
Cd /home/user/MyDocs

Then you need to find and download this files

Download them and put to MyDocs. Copy all this above and start installation. Make shore you are in home/user/MyDoce its crutial.
After you finish that you need to execute
apt-get -f install
For some file that did not install at first.
After that go to apt-get install bluemaemo.

hi mate. usually get this prog to install on my n900 by dpkg -i bluemaemo_0.3-10_armel.deb libeet1_1.2.2+svn41533-maemo1_armel.deb
libeina0_0.0.2.062+svn41533-maemo1_armel.deb and then apt-get -f install afterwards. i have d files downloaded all d time. enjoy your n900!
