Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
Man... I hate to ask questions, but I'm sure someone will have a simple answer for me.
How can I rename /home/user/MyDocs? I've looked up the basic terminal commands (mv filename filename2.. etc), but terminal keeps telling me that the device or resource is busy. From what I understand thus far, that's what I have to rename in order for BIOS to work on the emulator, which isn't allowing FFVII to run. Don't know where else to look, so a simple command or instruction would really be appreciated. Thanks |
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
eh? you dont rename mydocs you just put the memory card in mydocs (n900 folder)
|
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
Hmm..
How would you move those files? 'Cause viewing them in the web browser only allows me to view them (obviously). I don't see them in through 'file manager' |
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
they will be in whatever folder you saved them to.
|
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
Well I see the mem card files, and I just moved them to MyDocs to no avail. Either way, I think the issue with the emulator is not being able to load the BIOS.
Everything I've seen says to rename the Mydocs folder to scph1001.bin; I just don't know how to do that. |
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
no you dont have to rename anything if you have v0.3.9
|
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
I am looking for older version psx4all,version with older UI,I think older version was faster for me....I mean last version with keymapping :-)
thanks |

The renaming is for people that want to try out different BIOS files other than scph1001.bin. in that case you would rename the new BIOS to scph1001.bin so that it will load correctly. You probably don't need to worry about this part though. |

Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
well got ff7 and wipeout 2097 working at pretty much full speed
using scph7502 cycle - 3 frameskip 1/2 off to test more games. gav |
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
There is a memory card initially or it must be added?
|
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
Thanks for all the help guys, I'm sucking hardcore at this..
I just uninstalled the program and reinstalled it to see if the scph file showed up, but I still don't see it. I mean, now I know I just have to move it into the MyDocs folder - but I have yet to see it. What folder should I be looking in? |

Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
hello,
sorry but what is the bios? thank |
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
It's the original copyrighted firmware of the Playstation. You can call it some kind of basic operating system for the console...
|
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
ok so that's why but game runs very poorly or not at all
or find it please do thank you |
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
Well, just as I said: It's under copyright and a direct link is not allowed. Use Google or try to rip it from your own PSX ;-)
|
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
ok , thanks
|
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
it's good thank you, I had made in my pc and I put it in the root of the N900 and it works
|
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
Aahh..... Sbock just spotted you,
Nice to see a fellow Gp2x wiz owner who has a n900. Bazza09 (gp32x.com) Anyway back on topic: If i put scph7502.bin bios in /Mydocs on its own no other bios with it would psx4all pick it up or will it still use its own bios?? This is a question to all.. |
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
Bazza, I think you have to rename the bios to scph1001 or the emu wont recognise it.
I'm no expert by any means (the opposite in fact) but I think this has been covered earlier in the thread. |
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
yep. aslong you rename the bios to scph1001.bin it will run it. hopefully next update or so we'll get a bios selection.
|
Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
My psx4all does not download correctly , it is missing files or something.
Should I just wait for a new version or is there a way to fix it |

Re: PSX4All Maemo Edition
Thanks a million to those who helped, I at least downloaded the bios and got the startup Logo showing (aka progress for me).
I only have one disc uploaded on the phone (ffvii) and that doesn't seem to go past the sony logo before closing. I suppose I'll just have to get another game on here to see if I can get it working. again, thanks for the help/patience you guys had. Can't wait to get this thing running. |
