Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0

Without meaning to be a macabre Michael, is anybody else seeing parallels between "emu master" and the whole maemo saga?

Quickly powering into technological superiority, atest bed for future amazing features, it merely needs some subtle refinement to be undisputed king.

The head acknowledges this need and begins work on fixing these issues immediately, people begin to buy in to this bright future, then bam..

They decide to re-imagine everything and eventually gets released as a dead, albeit, amazing product.

One thing Elemental, release early, release often.

Hi,
I was wondering what the state of Amiga emulation is. I read that keyboard support wasn't working but maybe that has been fixed although I didn't see it in the release notes. Also I think I read that at least initially it only supported games on one disk.

I assume that it only supports Amiga 500 games but if someone could say how well it works I would appreciate it.

In anycase I think it's great work that has been done to get this working as the amount of time needed for this is not trivial.
Cheers,
Crocked

As far as I can tell, the Amiga emulation is barely usable. No multiple-disk or hard-disk emulation means only very old or simple games are supported, and no keyboard/mouse emulations means you can't control most "launchers" (which need F keys, holding the spacebar or a mouse button to proceed to the game).

Since it's the only emulation I would be interested on, I don't use EmuMaster. I paid for Stellarium, though.

.smc/ I really want to gush about Emumaster and the outstanding job that elemental has done( although he/she dropped the great creation /culmination that is Emumaster) but I wont. Not in the slightest. :D
But what I will say, is that Ill try to add to the list of working and non working games. And a great thank you to elemental, the monetary version will be late but Ill try when I can.

How I can copy save state so my pc?
and when I play psx games the program close its automatically when I'm in a particular point of the game and everything I change in option it will close when I will arrive in that point

I feel like there has to be a solution I am just missing, but for the life of me i can't find it: how can you move diagonally on the D-pad? Certain games require a forward jump (ie- RIGHT and UP on the D-pad at the same time), but i am unable to figure it out.
Any hints?

elemental, are you still alive?

Do you know this thing with MeeGo apps (in the store)? You should release the latest version already...

All I know from reading the entire 70 pages is that elemental is working on a Emulator for all (win, mac, android, meego, etc...) Using what I don't know. So his time is spent on that because of him being a perfectionist. As you can tell from his work. That said he dropped EmuMaster 0.4 because he wanted to fix to many things and so instead of starting from scratch and making a little money for just one OS he is maximizing his audience for more monetary gain. I congratulate him in his choice for uncompromising the quality of his work and I wait this next piece. Any more Q?

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0

I know it has been asked several times in this thread, but it seems to have gone un-answered: how do you add a PSX BIOS to the beta version of Emumaster?
I have tried to put them EVERYWHERE, and Emumaster never finds any.
Any help would be appreciated.

Long time ago it was detailed description in emumaster wiki. But some one broked it and delete all info for usage (elemental?)

Put PSX BIOSes in emumaster/psx/ patch. BIOSes and Memcards have names like this:
1.mcr
2.mcr
SCPH1000.BIN
SCPH1001.BIN
SCPH3000.BIN
SCPH5000.BIN
Scph5500.bin
SCPH5502.bin
SCPH7000.bin
SCPH7001.bin
SCPH7003.bin
scph7502.bin
scph7502(41a).bin

Thank you! It was all about the naming of the BIOS files. Mine are the same as yours, but had "PSX" in the name before each one. I deleted the "PSX" and it worked like a charm!

Go to the bottom of the spreadsheet and there are multiple workspaces. The workspace indicates what system it is, so the GBA tab has GBA games.

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0

Hi there.
I'm trying to use Emumaster 0.4.0 on a Nokia n9 64GB.
I find the following problems, some of which keep me from playing:

- No sound at all.

- No way to switch disks when I'm asked for it.

- Pad buttons don't seem to convey the proper signals to the game.
For instance, in game Last Ninja 2, as tested with UAE, hitting fire button with joystick starts the game, but in Emumaster, no button of any pad configuration sends the fire signal. Not even the mouse.

- When I try to reconfigure the keyboard keys that are associated with each pad button, I get nothing. I hit the button that should let me choose the key bound to a given pad button, but nothing happens. Only that the button's label, instead of showing the letter bound (say "A"), shows 2 dots one after another (".."). What does that mean!?

What am I doing/understanding wrong? Is there any workaround to any of these problems?

Thanks to all in advance for any help on these issues.

Regards,
m.

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0

To change keyboard mapping you need to uninstall version 0.4.0, install previous version e.g. 0.3.0 and configure keymap in this version, then install ver. 0.4.0 again.

I don't know what happened with the 0,4 but when I upgraded I could no longer start a PSX game (FF VII). The bios file was there! but now It wasn't recognized. Downloaded a batch of 15 bios files and none worked. Downgrading

Did you make sure they were named properly? That fixed it for me.

Yeah, I found the correct one after a 2nd pass on the 15 bios files. Now can someone enligthen me as to why this happened? I had the old bios FFVII.bin with the FFVII.cue and all of a sudden it didn't work.

Also, I lost my save point as I got an error of "save didn't match with blah, blah". Luckily I just started with it or I would have a smashed N9.

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0

I bought my brother a Sega Genesis for Christmas (his old original one had broken way back)

To make a long story short, when my parents moved, my dad donated all of our games, systems and controllers to Goodwill...

I had a Panasonic 3DO, with a ton of games, 4 controllers, and my brother had an N64, Sega, and SNES

Pretty sad day.

Anyways, I was looking that the PS Sixaxis controller works well with the N9 and Emumaster.

Can you connect 2 controllers to the N9 so I can play on my TV? (never mind just read the Wiki)

Thanks

Do you know if 3rd party (not original Sony) wireless ps3 controller works as well?

suicidal_orange 2017-11-05 11:12

Re: EmuMaster 0.3.0

By design the 3rd party controller has to comunicate using the same protocol as an official one or the ps3 wouldn't know what to do with it -
I'd be very surprised if it didn't work.
