Err, "the only"? Seriosly, for years theirs was the only system available for the PC - an open platform.

Firstly I have some doubts about the validity of that sentence but let's abstract that and just fill in the blank, assuming the rest is valid. Err... "the only"? Again, theirs was the only OS available for their platform. And they have always played the second fiddle to the PC.

Maemo is very much alive and well, this forum that you seem to spend so much time on trying to convince yourself and everyone else about how much it no longer counts proves you wrong every single time.

It will outlast each and every iteration of WIndows phone OS for many years to come.

Jolla if it lives up to its potential by opening up the UI will certainly outlast anything from Microsoft.

You are right that I develop for IOS and Android and many other platforms, languages and frameworks just not Microsoft Phone, not sure what your point was though but as a statement it was correct, well done.

I guess it didnt. Maemo must have had extremely closed UI, that is why it didnt succeed. Yes, that is the only conclusion one can draw from the rabid fan boys deductive logic! Eureka!
