That article claims the announcement was made at Adobe MAX 2009, right?

Look at this video from that conference

The only high end symbian phone coming out this year is the n8. The n8 has Flash Lite 4 not flash 10.1

mine works fine. Actually even better now that is upgraded to pr1.2... and by the way it is my main device now. it has replaced both my netbook, my mp3 player and my symbian phone...

Leave it be just ignore the tr0ll.

N8 has flash lite which has only reached version 4. I don't really know the differences between full and lite, but I had flash lite 3 on N82 and never had an issue on video sites or swf games...

Leave these kids alone. They just don't get a clue. Let them roll on the ground whine like pigs. They stuck here just because they own a device that their tiny brains are incapable to comprehend. Imagine, a monkey would have wanted a stick then a gun, he'd also complain for not getting an iPhone....ar, stick.

However, their ego is too high to admit their stupidity, so they'd just keep complaining rather than selling their device for a simpler one.

Their complains won't stop, as you may see their idiocy in complaining flash 10. When they're given 10, they'd complain not getting 11, then 12, then 13.....heck, there's no cure for their shortsightedness.

So, if you've to argue with them, you must go all the way down to their level, and let them beat you there. XD

Guys, this thread is an opportunity to have a level-headed discussion about what people complain about the N900, to get clarification of their complaints and to see if there are practical ways to address those problems.

Why turn it into yet another pointless mindless battleground?

Complaining on not getting flash 10 is a level-headed discussion? Come on, they'd complain on not getting flash 11 when they got 10, and so forth.

This is not a discussion, this is troll-feeding. You don't want to prolong this thread with trolling and troll-feeding do you? So please stop encouraging them.

Then why not make the first post accordingly to PR 1.2 and make it objective?

I simply asked to remove the iPhone comparisons from the first post because even as the author said:

So how can he really know in what fields iPhone would behave better?

It's not that I say he's a liar, but does he really have an N900? Most of his post is picked up from scraps around the forum, his own complaints aren't quite supported by more than 3-4 users and a correct discussion can't be based on an outdated report - he seems unable to update to PR 1.2... that if he has an N900... my bad only Nokias he said...

So let's have a level headed discussion instead of yet another "vs". thread ;)
This is really all I asked: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=154

The conversation widget has an update but this is in Extras-Devel Repo'. If you are happy to use this repo' and know the warnings then this should fix your first issue. Well, one of them anyway.

Back on topic. The phone works just great for me... Couldn't have chosen a better mobile/tablet or what ever you want to call it!
