I'm really happy with my N900, I bought it 2 days ago for 599€. It really replaces a Netbook and works stable and fast, what I want more?

Especially as Serveradmin it makes the life easier, SSH work's fine and compared to other phones (Like a iPhone) the screen doesn't gets filled with a virtual keyboard. Now I just played a round SNES and can also watch my favourite German TV channel over WorldTV :)

Good job Nokia and the Maemo team!

.

try visiting the radio station's website and see if they stream their radio live!

I think you would be pleasantly surprised that Most do!!!

Thanks to the Adobe Flash Plug-in Tons of online radio stations are no streamable with out a need for an app and the quality is better than any FM Radio I've ever hear!!!

Better yet the radio will work anywhere you have 3G - No need for satellite radio - use the FM TRANSMITTER and you have New York City Radio stations when your in Miami and vice versa!!!

:D

i have never used it, i use dpkg whenever there is a need, but yes i have looked at it, it was cool :) ...
but whats wrong with it ? I think, when desaster is just a click away, its more likely to happen compared to opening a scary dark terminal (which of course you have never seen before) and typing in a command not a word of which you understand, from a place where whoever has written it is talking about scary things that you do not understand :) .... do you agree ?

Perhaps I didn't explain this MINOR objective clearly enough...
I'm looking for a "white noise" to mask outside noises on hotel stays, etc... like a "noise machine." With the N800, you could just launch the FM Radio without the earphone plugged in, and you'd get the nice white noise static. In the N900, FM Radio will not even launch without the earphones in. It's not worth it to me to pull out the earphones, then try to "tune" to a space between stations to find some white noise. Instead, I'm still traveling with my old N800 for this purpose!

The headphones are being used as the antenna i believe, if your refering to the transmitter go to settings - fm transmitter - activate to launch the transmitter,

i <3 n900 :).

Maybe Nokia's next update will make think differently.

The only thing I regret is also not waiting. For me, I could forgive all the other bugs, but essential functioning, such as my work email, I can not. N900 does not provision, and secure IT environments will not allow it to sync with their server. So although nice in other aspects, N900 is a paper weight for me

The good news is, the guy that screwed up is on the forum with us (Well i saw a thread and read a few bits, and he seems very nice in accepting this, so he is definately let off.)

Its down to nokia now to correct this issue (Which i have some faith that they will.)
