No, and I do not know what you would use them for on Maemo...

It's another project I had in mind, that has kde specific entries.
Nevermind, and thanks anyway.

EDIT

I am running now the gpsp from Figa, but I am getting stuck on bios.
I will try to change the gpsp folder, and leave feedback.

Considering that no one has managed to make something better yet, that's a pretty though assertion.

I really wonder why do you all think gpSP is going to be any faster. As a hint to anyone that wants to start something with it, I suggest you check Figa's version first, evaluate the "performance benefit" and decide if it's really worth it to keep on spamming this thread forever...

I have a Dingoo A320*. it has a 366MHz MIPS processor and its GBA emulator plays very well (a lot better than VGBA on the N900), its GBA emulator is also based on the gpSP code. It is clear better emulation can be done because it has been done on other platforms with less powerful hardware. It just hasn't been done on the N900 yet.

*It's a cheap chinese device made for playing emulators, primarily GBA, but also SNES, Megadrive/Genesis and a number of others.

I'm pretty familiar with it, because I was told a bazillion of times that "SNES on the Dingoo A320" was just better (something I'd eventually found to be not that true, specially after using one myself), back when everyone was bashing my SNES emulator thinking a more performing one would eventually magically instantiate. Hint: it didn't.

So...

We're talking about the GBA emulator, not SNES. The GBA emulator is probably the best one on the device. Quite frankly the Megadrive/Genesis and SNES emulators are a bit buggy (though they work for most of what I want).

I'm not saying a better GBA emulator will magically appear, but it is definitely possible.

Just to leave it updated, it's late right now for me in my country,
and I need to study for my exams!
So, as soon as I can, and more probably next tuesday, leave better results.
I could get it to run, but it was simple, the main problem is that it
does not recognize any folder as being the gpSP folder.
I will get the SDK here on this pc I am using, as I have it only on another city's pc, make some new files, and package it.
If at the end I get a working deb, I won't release it to extras-devel,
this is Figa's emulator work, and I won't take credit for it.
Cheers everyone!

I wonder why no one put screenshots yet. Figa deserves a lot of credit for getting it to run.

(Ignore the 3d effect, I just couldn't help myself :) ).

Ironically, that's one of the games that is simply unplayable on VGBA. Btw, isn't the iphone 3gs basically the same as the n900 on a hardware level? I've watched videos of GpsPhone running Mario Kart Super Circuit at full speed.

I did not took screenshots because I couldn't get it to recognize my bios file. Which folder did you put it Javis?

But this is basically what we've been discussing for a long time,
there's much at task...
To compare them is not a good idea, we will always end up
in the same alley.
But if I am not mistaken iphone 3gs has some more gpu like psp than N900, not that it will make such difference in this case, we use SGX530, iphone is SGX535.
I might be wrong on the gpu, but I really guess they are able to make some higher polygon rate.
It's a slightly difference, but all this talk just to say it has not the same hardware :D as I might be vomiting some wrong stuff here,
have a good day everyone!
