I guess we don't know yet and will see when someone tests it, that's why this package is put to TESTING ;)

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v52 in Extras

@m4r0v3r: flashable image is in kernel-power deb package. Download it and unpack (dpkg -x)

kernel-power (1:2.6.28-10power52+git) fremantle; urgency=low

* Fix dangling if statement in patch power-supply-no-verbose.diff
* Backport usb ids from upstream kernel for dm9601.ko and asix.ko drivers
* Add patch nokia-av_key.patch for immediately headset button press event as KEY_PROG1
* Remove shm_size=0x400000 from /etc/modprobe.d/bridgedriver because it is not needed
* fix suspend to memory problems, generally only useful in offline mode
use /sys/power/state to enter (not used by Mameo5, just less broken now)
* advance system clock after resume using RTC time
* computer USB port now is able to be detected and charge after resume
* disable WARN_ON in getnstimeofday when timing system suspended

could you add btrfs and reiser support in the next version?:)
thank you

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v52 in Extras

@Alecsandru: btrfs is not part of 2.6.28 kernel, so I cannot enable it. If you provide patch which backport btrfs to 2.6.28 I can try to review it and add it to KP. And reiserfs is already enabled and part of KP52. I do not know why are you asking for it... it is already there.

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v52 in Extras

I've made a partition with gparted , formatted to reiser4 and it wasn't recognized by maemo , and about btrfs : one guy on a forum said: '' I've hand-grafted btrfs to be compiled in to my 2.6.28 kernel'
and i started dreaming about btrfs and your skills making that happen on maemo

Module in kernel != automatic integration with Maemo (startup scripts, etc). See wiki for informations about how to change filesystem, and follow it to the letter, using ext4 as and example (and paying attention to mentions about things that are different with reiserfs and ext* filesystems).

I don't want to discourage you or anything, but I think you may be touching things without even basic understanding a) why you may even want them on your device b) how to achieve it, so, just in case, backup your data and be ready for reflash/backup recovery. This way, experimenting won't hurt.

Not to mention, that I have NFC why you want btrfs running on N900's flash storage, but that's completely different matter (and none of the above is really on-topic for kernel-power thread, too).
