Well there's nobody working in Finland till tuesday so i wouldn't get my hopes high.... do i still check if there's update every 10h, absolutely :D

My hopes where already brought to the ground today morning when i saw yellow update mark, but it was just gpodder update.

some updates requires 1.2 installed. ukeyboard update wanted 1.2 installed for the update...

Do you think that multitouch will ever be implemented on the N900? There's nothing on the N97 yet, so I guess Nokia don't know how to do it.

just before people have a go at this guy. hes talking about fake multitouch. it would be nice but ur dreaming if nokia do it. some else has to do it. the screen doesnt support multitouch but can be done as a two point multiouch through software. any1 interested??


anyway. i want the update so i can get the new quick launch so i can select the app when i open the camera shutter. ooooo cant wait :)

I was talking about software multitouch. I don't really actually need it. Pinch and zoom is in my opinion harder to control than double tapping or circular motion. But some game that use touch screen for operation would be better with multitouch support.

Maybe some kind of buffer that logs touch strokes.

When PR1.2 comes out the same pattern from previous updates will repeat:
- A lot of posts and new threads with similar subjects like "It is out finally", "downloading now", "cant do OTA update"
- Then, a few hours later the complains starts to take place: "bricked my phone", "some feature still missing", "new bug after update", "It is still Maemo, not Meego, why my God!!??"
- Finally, in a week or even sooner "when will PR1.3 arrive?" :cool::

don't forget the threads about rolling back to PR 1.1.1 (is that the current one now?) because PR 1.2 introduced more bugs :D

Just a newbie question: when I will install the update PR 1.2 I have to reinstall all the applications in the phone (for example Sygic) or not? :confused:

newbie answer here, but i don't think so, don't remember doing so for the previous firmware updates. most probably you'll finally be able to download the upgrades of the apps you have that work on PR1.2

As long as you instal the update the normal way(from the aplication manager), no you don't need to reinstall anything.

nothing is guaranteed. Some r going to have to reflash cuz their devices will be bricked (the mystery they will never understand). Some wont have to. Its your destiny, you will soon know. But its not going to be a documented thing by nokia that would say "hey you r going to definitely loose stuff", I'm sure that wont happen.

Well back to topic; for this thread, come here every 3 hours and tell us you didnt find the pr1.2 in the update area :p

Damn, I need pr 1.2 because of that simple reason that media player widget driving me crazy. play/pause never works. Sometimes you can pause the music, but cant start the track again...

could they release just this fix, just for me :)

not that big of a deal. just double click the widget and it takes you right to the play screen for that track

I know but not in the car. I dont want to press several times. should be fairly easy to fix this bug for nokia. And since i know its fixed, im waiting and waiting for it.

ok while every is waiting for pr.1.2 can i give you something to think about. when i had my sony ericsson if i held down the volume down button while playing music it used to take me to the previous track and if i held down the volume up button it used to take me to the next track.

is there any such thing for n900??
