@Cepi : what about whatsapp web support .

Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client

Ok so how does the online notification (the green bubble) work?
For some contacts it shows up immediately as i open the app. For some i have to open their chat and go back to the list, then it shows up (kind of beats the purpose). I initially thought that it shows up only for most recent contacts immediately, but i have my own contact in the list and that chat hasn't been opened in many days, but the notification is always there.

It always works here.

Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client

WhatsApp sends a subscription to your contact when you open his chat window, then you can see when he's online/offline. When you close the chat window, whatsapp sends unsubscription (cause it's not used anymore)
Whatsup never sends unsubscriptions, so you you'll keep receiving those notifications. But... after some time, whatsapp server stops sending them, so you need to open that contact chat window again.

Or something like this.... :D

Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client

As some others i've problems with the registration (bad_token).
I found out dat you need a passwordcode. I request one on https://coderus.openrepos.net/whitesoft/whatsapp_sms

But both gives errors:
Code request failed. Reason: too frequent attempts to request the code
You can retry requesting code after 2 minute(s)

I use the newest version 1.2.3 founded on https://bitbucket.org/CepiPerez/what...stration-error

Also i was looking for another whatsapp client so I can register my phone.

Hope you have suggestions!

provide me the screenshot or another document, i'll try to help you, but i'm still using it's method clearly

hauslandbibliothek 2015-05-25 22:10

For me registring with WART worked perfectly fine.

But I have one question to CepiPerez: Is the tick for "voice message was played by recipient" implemented and I was just to dumb to see it or is it just not there. If so: could you implement it? I know its not really important, but sometimes it nice to know, if somebody has heard your message ...

Blue ticks means messages has been readed/played

Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client

Hi,

I´ve used Whatsup for a while...and what happens to me is that it gets "annoyingly" SLOW sometimes, to write, or to receive new messages (specially in chat groups), or sometimes it even crashes and I have to open it again (that happens when in a group I receive lots of messages), but the sluggishness is the most annoying feature, am I the only one? or is it Meego related? I´ve already reset my phone to stock settings and at first worked fast then it started to become slower.
I don´t have any mods.
Regards

If it says that it's not responding, Press No and you just have to wait... Sometimes a reboot also helps to fix these issues

yes, the file still there? (filename is your phonenumber with country code without the zero's at start)
if the file is still there, just make a copy of the file, regitser the same number, replace old file, done!

you may also try to rename the file to the new registered number, see if thats working.

Unfortnaly not... the file has been deleted.

I rescued some SQLite (the db is sqlite right?) with photorec, but I am still working on it...

You sure i can switch file with different registration? The text seems encrypted and I wonder about the key used to decrypt it

I'm sorry for your loss :(

I didn't know the sql database it was encrypted, but if it i s, I'm pretty sure it's using base64.
It's a pretty easy encryption to decrypt.

Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client

Sorry guys, I have 1.2.4 installed. And I just tried to create a new chat group (haven't done that in a while). And it doesn't seem to work. I can give it a name, add a picture, add participants, but when I click on "Done", it just doesn't do anything. The button gets greyed out and I am still in the group creation menu.

Is that a bug, or is something wrong with my phone?

Also, when adding a picture to a a profile, the gallery seems to be not fully updated. Only some of my pictures are shown to choose from.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi CepiPerez, thanks for keeping Whatsup going on.

Since version 1.2.0 I have noticed that Whatsup has trouble reconnecting if the wifi or 3g fails for some time and then comes back, it won't reconnect automatically and even if i try to connect manually nothing happens.

The only way to get it to connect again is exiting the program an restarting it.
