Now that I actually own an n800, I'd love a shot at messing with an extra faceplate. I have done a laptop or two in the past that came out ok (link below w/ before and after pics)...

best route to go is to powdercoat it like i did , paint will always scratch and chip off... trust me i know lol. the powder comes in every color from bright red to textured gold and black
