I'm in for $100US and the only thing I require is MS Exchange push email support. I am happy with abiword/gnumeric as office apps.

I don't feel the real need for a word processor in N800 but I know that it will be a good thing for many of its users. So put me down for $50.

(May be there should be a contest among top-5 or top-3 most requested features and whatever feature gets highest votes from the itT members should get the bounty as investment.)

Gnumeric already runs well on the tablets, and AbiWord 2.6.0 should be much, much improved, running on 2006, 2008, and perhaps 2007 - I have testing to do. Please see my other posts for more information about AbiWord - I feel like I have to repeat myself often :-)

I would certainly kick in money also, and would like a suite of programs that provide better PIM capabilities for calendar, to do list, and word processing that syncs with OS X or XP. Especially true with Contacts. If we could reach even Palm OS level of sync support I would be first in line to pay.

Although I do not often edit files on my tablet, I find it extremely frustrating not being able to view them at all when I receive word, excel or powerpoints as email attachments. I just switched from an aging Palm Tunsgten C with Dataviz' Documents To Go and I am seriously suffering withdrawals due to this (and other PIM related issues)...

I'll chip in a few bucks...

it would be ideal if word docs could be open and saved.

I really think that the existence of an office suite for the masses would generate huge demand for these devices. It's a glaring omission from the current software offerings.

Gotta love GW, making my dollars worthless

They will not port their software to Nokia's tablets.

Isn't that closed source? I'd rather have abiword and company than anything like that!
