N95's are not 1000$ anyways. You can get them for 600$.

This is a brand new FACTOY SEALED N95 8GB. The phone worth £600 and is exclusive to Vodaphone (not released on any other networks) so not many people will have the same model as you!! The phone can be unlocked.

Massive improvement on the N95 in terms of software, memory and manufacturer quality.

Absolute bargain, get bidding!

visit ebay.co.uk for EU prices

Wow, guess I lucked out. i dropped mine on the cement, but it was ok.
I was afraid of the screen cracking in a spiderweb pattern, like my blackberry did.

Try to sell your car with scratches on eBay to see price difference.
I opt for material defect.

Try to own a car and never get a single scratch on it.
If you find a car with no scratches it's called "new paint job" and would probably be 50% bondo.

Damn, I thought I was an annoying *** but you take the cake, Captain "Nokia Virus".

What's wrong with saying that you're not impressed with the finish of your $400 USD+ internet tablet? I mean, I have a Nokia 770, just ordered the N810 (not yet delivered) and comments like this don't taint my enthusiasm, but it sure as hell will make me more careful with handling it.

My 770 has almost been abused and it has like maybe one small scratch on the outside of the cover, perhaps a small mark on the right corner when I dropped it onto my desk.

What sort of surfaces has it been set on?

I was worried about that when I first got mine, and was amazed at how few scratches actually showed up after repeated contact with rough surfaces. It wasn't until my oldest son accidentally knocked mine out of my hand to go skidding down the driveway did it pick up notable scratches... and surely that's understandable.

Nokia is ok, but competitors work harder and offer better models, more features at much lower prices.
Look at Samsung , at Samsung Wimax, already on a market.
European manufacturers are still some years behind manufacturers from Asia.
And look at overpriced N95 8GB at $1000.
Nokia should cut prices by half.
You can buy N810 at $500 and a new laptop with wifi at $500 in US.
Nokia charges in EU for its products double price it charges for the same products in US.

$1000 for N95 8GB is hard to believe.

I think you are going to be mad at me but I don't mind paying any price to nokia. N95 for me is the BEST phone out there, apple iphone is not even close to nokia by means of technology, touch screen, etc.. is not anything that impresses me. Apple, ipod, iphone is popular all because APPLE targeted the people that were tech illeterate. I truly hate apple, ipod, and iphone. If iphone was 10$ and nokia N95 was 1000$ I'd still buy nokia.

US cellphone market is just spicing up, I remember I was on the phone in 1999 in California with a headset everybody was looking at me suprised.

There were mp3 players before ipod, I remember my first RCA mp3 player, but mp3 market rocketed when Ipods started to sell, now everyone feels apple is the inventor. Well not even close.
Time calls Iphone the invention of year! well I don't remember anyone calling 6600, 6680 an invention, which they are.

Well, these are all my opinions you don't have to agree with me. But I will always prefer a company that has it's roots back almost 200years, not a company that has just started to make glass phones

I remember whenever I hold my N770, I said this device is going to replace laptops! I'd just purchase it to support nokia to make better successors. Then again nobody called N770 an invention.
What is it that the iphone does ?
for me, couple good tricks(touch interface, youtube)

Go to handango.com and check stuff up for N95. There is endless possibilities with symbian.

Now that I read my reply again I think I do have a thing for nokia :)

Wait and see Iphone will accept 3rd party apps soon, and then everybody will think that Iphone is the first phone that lets you to install stuff...

I am a little mad at nokia, not with price points, but with marketing points. All my life I've purchased european cell phones, because US market is always 2 years behind. Nokia could've used this delay to their advantage but only now I am able to see Nokia N95 @ compusa, and even at brookstone. If nokia started to cell 6600 years ago in US market, now everbody would know that Iphone is nothing new, and nothing to be impressed.

I think about Nokia exactly how I think about ferrari or bugatti

I dont think nokia should lower its prices to compete with apple or samsung etc..
Cause nokia is like bugatti or the maybach of the mobile world
there are people like me that already thinks that there is no competition with nokia

I wish I had that advice 30 years ago when I bought my first car. It looked great for 6 weeks, then the bondo started to fall off, and the paint began flaking. After that, scratches don't bother me. Call me when the display falls off.
