That said, it seems to me lots of people would still rather buy a $5 laptop pillow and get the Eee, and just give up the ability to surf in contorted positions while watching TV. |
Re: Comparing the N800 and the Pepper Pad 3
I don't consider the EeePC to be a competitor of anything.
I don't want a conventional keyboard that's that small. I either want a split thumb keyboard (Samsung Q1, pepperpad, wibrain) or I want a regular thumb keyboard (N810, sidekick, MDA, etc.). The EeePC is just a bad form factor IMO. I can't see ever buying it. Plus, if I just wanted a cheap linux laptop, I'd buy a walmart special, and install linux on it. I'm rather sure it comes out cheaper. Or I'd buy an XO, where I get one and the other one goes to a child in need. |
Re: Comparing the N800 and the Pepper Pad 3
Good review :) certainly answers questions I had in the past.
Before I bought the N800 many moons ago I was pondering a pepper pad [even though it was more expensive - the N800 + 2 * 8GB SDHC cards bought up the costs to be roughly equal.] Glad to say I made the decision to stick to the Nokia! Especially now that we're at 400MHz ... videos in OS2008 are _so_ much better! |

Still, the Pepper plays videos way better than the Nokia. It's probably a Geode feature... |
