According to the licensing terms, it is allowed to use the program on only one Internet Tablet at a time. To prevent unauthorised copying, the product is linked to your Internet Tablet device during license activation.

The licence can be transferred to a new Internet Tablet, but note that you first need to deactivate the license from the Internet Tablet that is currently using the same license. [Select About Map > Deactivate license.]

Note that the number of times the license may be transferred to another Internet Tablet within a month is limited. If you are not able to deactivate the license using your Internet Tablet, please contact Wayfinder customer support

The maps don't download within the program unless you get lucky. Ive been trying for a month and finally decided to give up until they allow you to download from pc to memory card.

I could use the memory space anyway.

Please, could you tell me where did you find wayfinders maps? Can you download them from your desktop computer even if you are using the free version? :confused:

Thank you! :D

I read an article this morning at theregister.co.uk mentioning that the latest update for the N95 from Nokia removed the GPS current position tracking feature, which Nokia now says is an extra-cost option. Apparently there was no warning to customers that updating the firmware would remove a feature.

Are you sure that this feature still works on the N800 with the latest firmware?

The software has taken my navicore key ok, but got no maps! :(

See my post in the APPS section.

It tells you how to use the maps from your Navicore DVD or flash card... they work fine... they are the same maps you would be downloading.

i hear talk about licenses... what exactly do you need a license for? i tried downloading a map to my os2008 n800 and it worked fine without any license, thinking of ordering a cheap BT GPS to go with it but if there are some hidden costs somewhere...

@Cptnodegard
Without the license the wayfinder software won't do any routing on your tablet, just showing on the map, where you are. Look at their FAQ: https://www.wayfinder.com/?id=5365

Are you running Privoxy? It seems to block the map downloads. Try disabeling it temporarily.

you can download the maps directly from the wayfinder sight, then move it across to your tablet. although there does seem to be a tree of folders established once tthe maps have been accessed by wayfinder...not sure where you need to put the file.
