Results from last night's testing:

It is waterproof. It does NOT float. At least not in freshwater. I guess the 770 is a close enough fit that there's not enough air in there for buoyancy given the high density of tablet.

The clear vinyl top is very flexible. The stylus works fine through it, though it feels spongy. It clings a bit to the screen (or my screen protector rather), but no ill effects.

You can hear the speaker just fine through the plastic. Doesn't sound muted at all to me.

As for Wifi peformance, I got distracted playing nethack and forgot to test the network.

uh-huh .. sure... that's exactly what I'd be doing naked in a bathtub with a Nokia 770.

And thought I was going too far by checking email in the bathroom. Hmm, bathtime may never be the same again.
