It is kind of obvious (of course with the wall paper too) if you go to memory section from control panel and look memory/device (to see how much memory you have when you don't have an xterm to use mount command).

Internal flash would not have more than 256M (for N800)!

@Phobos: After you install an app, watch the usage of the device memory.

I've successfully cloned with the SanDisk 4GB and 8GB Extreme III cards. In both cases I used low-level formatting with the Panasonic, but I don't know if that was necessary. (I've also cloned the OS to the MMC with a Transcend 8GB card.)

Apparantly, the tablet is having 'difficulties' in partioning SD card if it is NOT a 'virgin' card, ie., with exisiting Linux partition in particular. That explains why using PB's clone.deb, sometimes one has to do 2X, 3X, or many times and it may then get thru. I have the same experience when re-partition a SD card, even as low as 2G. I did it 4X under xterm/root/sfdisk, exisiting partition stayed. I finally took it to a PC and wipe out all the partitions and format into a Fat16, Panasonic or HP SD tools will do just fine, I then did the partition in the tablet. It went thru just like the way it supposed to do, right on the 1st time. I would not have the knowledge or energy to dig out more why the tablet is having 'difficulty' in partition with existing Linux partition, it is a job for the big guys, like qwerty/benson/PB/fanoush or whoever linux guru you are.

So my observation is, for 'virgin' SD cards, go thru PB's clone will just be fine. For a redo card, wipe out the linux partitions 1st then PB's clone.deb would be more successful then redo and redo.

I think you may be making somewrong assumptions. When you partition the card you often need to reboot the tablet in order for it to see the altered partitions. If however you are re-running my script and the physical partitioning is not changing, it should work the first time.

This has always been my experience. Install the deb, reboot, install the deb, reboot it works.

I have only testing on kingston brand cards,
2gb mmc mobile, 8gb sdhc, 4gb micrsdhc

With existing partition, I have NOT been able to succeed on 1st run of the install tool.deb. But after wipe out the partition, I have always succeed on just one run. True, it is my observation over several months and it is an assumption.
