But /.atabake/config is not in my /home/user/ either, so i have no idea what is up.

Mplayer is installed, as is KMplayer, UKMP, Kagu, Canola, and a search in emelFM2 doesn't locate it.

Sorry to bump this but I wonder if anyone has a fix on the problem yet?

I see that Canola has resolved its ogg compatibility and Kagu now plays them too.

It is just that UKMP is my favourite media player and, given the choice, I would select it over the alternatives.

Maybe this is still the issue? But then UKMP used to play my ogg files perfectly.
