Re: Help Suggest Maemo Speakers for LinuxTag 2008
I plan to come at LinuxTAG too.
Today I submitted the idea to a friend of mine, later we will see if we can also come up with a topic for a talk. |
Re: Help Suggest Maemo Speakers for LinuxTag 2008
I'm planning to go, assuming work doesn't get in the way. I understand that the Maemo stuff is on the Thursday (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Re: Help Suggest Maemo Speakers for LinuxTag 2008
qgil popped into #maemo for a bit today for a discussion of some more potential candidates.
The wiki page has been updated with a lot of new additions—looks like it's got the makings of a pretty sweet event! :D http://maemo.org/community/wiki/linuxtag2008/ |

Re: Help Suggest Maemo Speakers for LinuxTag 2008
I'm both excited, surprised and flattered to see my name there too!
My cousin's wedding (no, he's not called Vinnie) is the following the weekend, but Warwickshire -> Berlin -> Leeds should be doable. |
Re: Help Suggest Maemo Speakers for LinuxTag 2008
Not sure if I can make it, but would like to visit for sure.
A discussion point what I would like to bring up is the roadmap for developers. The one at maemo is not really showing us what the future core will bring. Eg. do we get openGL|ES and can we start playing with clutter, can we start using gvfs and such issues. |
