I don't think so. I think ORB checks the bandwidth between you (Home PC) and ORB and I believe that is what dictates what quality stream you get on your remote client no matter what remote client you are using. It would make more sense to tailor the quality of the various ORB streams based on bandwidth rather then client. Of course, it is up to the user to make sure that ORB is encoding the appropriate stream for the various end user clients; in the case of the N800 it's Real Audio. On my portable I stream ORB to it in either Quicktime or Windows Media or Flash in a pinch because I've not the appropriate media client installed on the remote node so I just use the browser rather then a dedicated client.
